A method is proposed for adjusting an actuator () of a positioning system (). The positioning system () has an electronically commutated actuator drive () which is coupled to the actuator (), wherein the actuator drive () has a permanent magnetic rotor (), wherein the rotor () has a first shaft () which extends along a pole axis () of the rotor (). The actuator drive () additionally has an electronically commutated stator (), wherein the stator () can be energized using a space phasor (), wherein the space phasor () has an electric phase and an amplitude, wherein the space phasor () is aligned with respect to the first shaft () of the rotor () around a difference phasing. In order to be able to actuate a predefined position of the actuator, even without sensors to determine the position of the first shaft () of the rotor (), the following steps of the method are thereby provided: setting the difference phasing of the space phasor () to an operating difference phasing; setting the amplitude to an operating amplitude, wherein the operating difference phasing and the operating amplitude are set in such a way that the operating difference phasing is less than 45&#xb0; and that a torque is generated at the rotor () suitable for starting up the predefined position of the actuator (). The invention further relates to a device for adjusting an actuator () of a positioning system () and a computer program product which contains a program code which, when it is executed by a data processing unit, implements the method according to the invention.

A sensor for measuring a variable, in particular a physical variable, includes at least one converter element converting the variable into an electrical signal. At least one electronic signal processing unit conditions and/or processes the electrical signal to provide a sensor signal. The at least one electronic signal processing unit has at least one diagnosis device. An interface passes on the sensor signal through a connection, in particular a cable connection, to an electrical device, in particular a control device. The diagnosis device causes a fault signal instead of the sensor signal to be present at the interface when a fault occurs, for clearly distinguishing a fault at the interface from a processing fault. An actuator for a control unit has a control motor with a motor power takeoff shaft; a control shaft that carries the control unit; and a step-up gear, disposed between the motor power takeoff shaft and the control shaft, as well as a restoring device for restoring the control unit to a basic position if the control motor fails. To make it possible to use a single-stage step-up gear with a major step-up ratio and with advantages in terms of installation space, weight, and production costs, the restoring device has two separate energy-storing means, preferably embodied as restoring springs, of which one feeds back to the motor power takeoff shaft and the other feeds back to the control shaft.

Actuator for a control unit

A final control element for a control unit, for a throttle body located in a conduit carrying a gaseous medium in an internal combustion engine, is disclosed which has a control shaft, supporting the control unit in a manner fixed against relative rotation; a power takeoff member of a final control element gear, the power takeoff member being seated on the control shaft in a manner fixed against relative rotation; and an error sensor, detecting the rotary position of the control shaft, with a rotor part that is connected to the control shaft in a manner fixed against relative rotation. The error sensor is a contactless measurement rotary angle sensor, whose rotor part is integrated by material and positive engagement with the drive member. Preferably, the rotor part is made of sheet metal, and the positive engagement is established by spraying the power takeoff member, made of plastic, onto it. The rotor part is welded to the control shaft.
