Backing materials which have been given a self-adhesive treatment on at least one side, characterized in that the self-adhesive composition is a pressure-sensitive hotmelt adhesive composition which at a frequency of 0.1 rad/s has a dynamic-complex glass transition temperature of less than &minus;3&deg; C., preferably from &minus;6&deg; C. to &minus;30&deg; C. and, with particular preference, from &minus;9&deg; C. to &minus;25&deg; C., and their use, in particular, for producing medical products such as plasters, bandages or dressings.

Self-adhesively treated backing materials

Plaster for adhesive bonding to the skin, in particular for the covering of relatively small wounds, consisting of a support material which is provided on its bottom side with a dermatologically compatible self-adhesive layer, characterized in that all or part of the top side of the support material bears a long-afterglow imprint consisting of a coating system into which a long-afterglow pigment has been incorporated.

Self-adhesive wound suture plaster with a carrier material, especially in strip form, of an elastic knitted or woven fabric, sheet or nonwoven, which is characterized in that the carrier strip extends under the action of a pulling force and, after this action of force has ended, virtually returns completely to the original length. Preferably, the carrier strip undergoes a length extension of between about 2 and 10% under the action of a pulling force of 5 N/cm, a length extension of between about 5 and 15% at 10 N/cm and a length extension of between about 15 and 30% at 20 N/cm.
