A self-ventilated electrodynamic rotary machine includes a housing configured to at least partially axially enclose the rotary machine, and a fan connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a shaft on a ventilation side of the rotary machine and configured to generate a main cooling air flow when the shaft rotates about an axis. The fan includes a cover which is configured to direct the main cooling air flow onto the housing and is structured to improve cooling of the housing. An air guide element is detachably fixed to the cover to generate an additional cooling air flow. The air guide element, when viewed in a circumferential direction, has a segmented design and is configured as separate part for retrofitting to the cover depending on a thermal requirement of the rotary machine.

Self-ventilated electrodynamic rotary machine

A housing-free dynamoelectric rotary machine includes a stator having a material layer structure which includes a plurality of material layers arranged in a row along a rotation axis. The material layer structure includes a plurality of thickenings and a plurality of slots, with the slots arranged such that each of the slots is arranged between two respective ones of the thickenings. At least one of the slots is designed to receive a slot wedge, with a respective one of the thickenings being designed to fasten the slot wedge. An end element is arranged on an axial end of the stator and includes a connection box for supply with electrical energy. A connecting element connects the end element to the stator and is connected to the slot wedge.

A dynamo-electric machine includes a self-supporting housing that has a laminated core section and at least one connecting section in the axial extension of the laminated core section. The laminated core section accommodates and secures, and at least sectionally surrounds all sides of, a laminated core of a stator. The individual sheets of the laminated core have a basic outer shape with an especially octagonal cross-section, a stator bore surrounded by radially arranged grooves which are evenly distributed along the circumference of the stator bore, a yoke back that radially adjoins the grooves and extends equidistantly from the stator bore, and axial cavities in the sheet, in regions between the yoke, back and the basic outer shape of the sheets.

An electric machine has a stator and a rotor arranged on a rotor shaft for rotation about a shaft axis, wherein the shaft axis defines an axial, a radial and a tangential direction. The rotor has at least one continuous axial rotor channel. The stator has a lamination stack extending over the rotor viewed in the axial direction. The lamination stack completely surrounds the rotor, forming a closed inner rotor chamber and has at least one axial stator channel running continuously in the axial direction and that is completely closed when viewed on the sectional plane. The electric machine has covers which are designed to form in conjunction with the lamination stack at least one radial channel running in the radial direction. The radial channels connect the axial stator channel(s) to the inner rotor chamber by means of a fluid connection but are otherwise closed.
