A processing head for guiding a laser beam for processing a workpiece includes a housing main body configured to accommodate a beam guiding element. The housing main body has a first main surface section and a second main surface section. The processing head further includes a functional module configured to connect to the housing main body or to be inserted into the housing main body. The first main surface section and the second main surface section of the housing main body are aligned with one another, at least partly surround a free internal volume of the housing main body, and are configured differently from one another for receiving and/or for inserting the functional module and/or a functional component.

A scanner device configured for 2-dimensional deflection of a laser beam by mirrors that are each pivotably supported about an axis and that are driven in a motorized manner, includes a first motor-mirror unit that has a first mirror and a drive motor, and a carrier for securing the first motor-mirror unit. The first motor-mirror unit is selected from one of two different possible motor-mirror units, each of which has an assembly flange, an identical abutment face, and can be selectively releasably secured with the abutment faces to the same first assembly face of the carrier. The two different possible motor-mirror units differ from each other with respect to the mirror size and/or mirror position in the carrier.

An F/theta lens system for focusing high-power laser radiation in a flat image field including at least two lenses. The at least two lenses are arranged sequentially in a beam path, where the at least two lenses are made from a material that is stable when exposed to laser radiation having a power of more than 1 kW, and at least one of the lenses has at least one aspherical lens surface.
