A roof-attachment system and method for attaching a glass roof to the bodyshell of a motor vehicle, having a foam surround and having an adhesive, which, for the purpose of fastening the glass roof on the bodyshell in a materially bonded manner, is connected firstly to the glass roof, secondly to the foam surround and thirdly to the bodyshell. At an interface between the glass roof, the foam surround, and the adhesive, a step between the adhesive and the foam surround is provided with a chamfer.

Roof-attachment system and method

A system () for detecting a readiness of a closure element () of a motor vehicle to lock has a first sensor () for detecting a position signal of the closure element () and a second magnetic sensor () for detecting a magnetic field signal (). The first sensors () are connected by a data link to an electronic unit (), and the magnetic field signal () and the position signal are passed by a data link to the electronic unit (). The electronic unit () has a memory () with at least one stored magnetic field signal value (). The electronic unit () generates a change in the output signal when there is a positive comparison of the magnetic field signal value () with the detected magnetic field signal (), and when an end position of the closure element () is detected.

System for detecting a readiness of a closure element of a motor vehicle to lock

A folding top frame has a corner bow with a lower end connected pivotably to a main bow. A load-bearing support is articulated pivotably on a folding top bearing, and has a guide slot, at an end opposite the folding top bearing. The corner bow is guided in the guide track by way of a journal. In the closed position of the folding top frame, the journal is at a lower end stop of the guide slot so that the corner bow is supported.

A simplified folding-top linkage is distinguished in that the two roof-frame links are articulated directly on the two roof-frame portions, in that one of the roof-frame links has an extension, which is angled in relation to said roof-frame link and extends beyond a point of articulation located on the second roof-frame portion, and in that the drive link is articulated on the extension and the coupling link.

Folding top for a convertible

A convertible with a roof arrangement can be displaced between a closed position and an open position. The roof arrangement is accommodated in a storage compartment, and which has a roof outer skin (convertible-top cloth) with a graphical element on the external visible side. A visually attractive roof arrangement is distinguished in that the graphical element is arranged on the external visible side in such a manner that it is completely visible from the outside of the vehicle both in the closed position and in the open position, and the storage compartment is configured to be completely open or partially open upward.

Convertible with a roof arrangement

A convertible has a roof () that can be adjusted between an opened and covered positions and a wind deflector () that can be adjusted between a retracted position (RS) and a deployed position (WS). The wind deflector () is mounted movably on longitudinal sides () of the convertible () adjacent to interior paneling () and has a section underneath the interior paneling (). Openings () for a soft top linkage of the convertible can be closed or opened by flaps () on the longitudinal sides () of the convertible () adjacent to the wind deflector (). The convertible () also has a control device () for the roof arrangement () and a position-detection device () for the flap (). The control device () permits adjustment of the roof () only if the position-detection device () detects an open position (P) of the flap ().

Convertible having a roof arrangement

A roof arrangement () for a convertible () has a flexible convertible-top cloth () that can be removed by hand and stretched over a passenger compartment () between a cowl () and a rear end fastening device (). A supporting bow () is beneath the convertible-top cloth () and is arranged in the transverse direction (FQ) of the convertible () at a distance behind the cowl (). A tensioning device () keeps the convertible-top cloth () tensioned in relation to the cowl (). The tensioning device () braces the convertible-top cloth () down adjacent to the supporting bow () and approximately in the vertical direction of the vehicle (FH) when the roof arrangement () is mounted on the convertible ().

Roof arrangement for a convertible, and convertible with a roof arrangement of this type

A convertible has a convertible top which can be put away in the rear region of the convertible and, in a fully open position, is received in a convertible top compartment which can be at least partially closed by a convertible top compartment cover. In this case, the put-away convertible top is held down with the aid of the convertible top compartment cover and is fixed in the held-down position by at least one holding-down device which can be placed onto the convertible top and is disposed on the convertible top compartment cover. The holding-down device has a friction-reducing coating facing the convertible top.

Convertible

A convertible top can be displaced between a closed position and a put-away position. The convertible top contains a flexible convertible top cloth, rear side regions of which each have at least one folding device acting on them, impressing at least one defined fold in each case on the convertible top cloth during the transfer from the closed position into the put-away position. Each folding device has at least one linear, rod-shaped folding mechanism which, during the transfer of the convertible top into the put-away position, prevents a folding of the convertible top cloth transversely with respect to its longitudinal direction.

Convertible top

A top for a convertible has a rear window frame, at least one roof section placed in front of it in the direction of travel when the top is closed, and a lateral top linkage. When the top is closed, a further roof section which is connected to the top linkage in an articulated manner and can be driven by the latter is provided between a front roof section and the rear window frame.

Top for a convertible

A roof arrangement for a motor vehicle having a roof frame, a sunroof, two lateral guide paths in which the sunroof is movably guided for closing or at least partially releasing a roof opening. Multiple bearing devices are connected to the sunroof, at one end in an articulated connection and at the other end supported in one of the guide paths via a guide element. The bearing devices each have a lever which is attached to both the guide element and the sunroof in a pivot bearing, whereby the pivot bearing on the sunroof end has a bearing axle which protrudes at its one end into a control path for the lifting motion of the sunroof and is provided at this end with a stepped bearing sleeve. A spring mechanism is arranged between the bearing sleeve and the lever, pressing a ring collar of the stepped bearing sleeve against an edge bordering the control path, thereby minimizing noise, particularly when the sunroof is closed.

Roof arrangement for a vehicle

An impact protection system is provided for a door of a motor vehicle and extends between upright door frames of a door body. On one side the impact protection system is connected with a hinge column by way of hinges and, on the other side, adjacent to a lock of the door, is connected with an additional column. The hinge column and additional column are integrated in a body structure of a body of the motor vehicle. In order to optimize this impact protection system, the lock is mounted on the latter and, in the closed condition of the door, an engaging device of the door interacts with a receiving device of a deformation device which is fastened to the additional column of the vehicle body structure.

A door suitable for a motor vehicle is inserted in a recess of a body and includes a door body braced on upright columns of the body. The door body has an internal member and an external member and possesses frame elements bordering on the columns between which an impact protection device extends. In order to optimize this door, the external element connected to the internal element interacts with the impact protection device on an interior between the frame elements of the door body by way of a support apparatus.

Door for a motor vehicle

A removable roof is provided for a passenger car of the sports car type, between a windshield frame and a rollover bar system, which roof is made of a plastic material and includes an exterior wall as well as an interior wall. In order to create a highly stressable, light-weight and space-saving roof, the exterior wall as well as the interior wall are made of a high-strength plastic material and form a rigid member connection, the exterior wall and the interior wall meeting essentially only at edge zones.

Removable roof for a motor vehicle and method of making same

A locking device suitable for a removable top of a motor vehicle, which extends between fixed structures, such as a windshield frame and an anti-roll bar of a vehicle body, includes a locking element on the roof, which works together with a mounting that is attached, for example, to the anti-roll bar, is directed towards the passenger compartment, and is provided in a fastening plate. The fastening plate, which may be attached to the anti-roll bar, includes a cover element, which can be displaced from a first position into a second position covering the mounting of the fastening plate and vice versa.
