Disclosed is an oil-in-water emulsion composition, and a preparation method therefor, and a product, wherein the composition comprises: a) cellulose with a hydrophobic group; b) a surfactant; c) a higher alcohol; d) an oil component; e) water; and optionally, f) a humectant and/or g) a higher fatty acid; the composition has a viscosity of 10,000 mPa&#xb7;s or less.

Oil-in-water emulsion composition, preparation method therefor and product

A method of preparing a fine oil-in-water emulsion comprising an oil phase based on silicone and/or hydrocarbon oils, in which the oil phase particles have an average particle size of 150 nm or less. The emulsion is stabilized by a carboxy-modified silicone in combination with a C16 to 22 higher alcohol; a nonionic surfactant having a POE chain and an HLB of 5 to 10; and a dihydric glycol. The emulsions can be prepared without the use of a high-pressure emulsifying apparatus.

The present invention provides an &#x3b1;-gel forming composition and an &#x3b1;-gel composition that uses an &#x3b1;-gel formation composition that is highly stable and that does not become colored or deposit crystals, etc. over time. An &#x3b1;-gel composition includes (A) 25-50 mass % of one or more higher aliphatic alcohol and/or higher fatty acid has 16 or more carbons, (B) 40-70 mass % of a specific polyoxyethylene sterol ether, and (C) 5-20 mass % of a specific polyoxyethylene dialkyl ester and/or ether. The &#x3b1;-gel composition is generated by adding water.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an &#x3b1;-gel formation composition and an &#x3b1;-gel composition that uses the &#x3b1;-gel formation composition, wherein said compositions are highly stable, do not deposit crystals, become more viscous over time, and, when used in a preparations for external use, are refreshing during application and have high skin-moisturizing action after application. &#x3b1;-Gel-intermediate composition, and production method for &#x3b1;-gel-containing O/W emulsion cosmetic using said composition

The present invention provides an oil-in-oil type cosmetic composition that has excellent transfer resistance after application, a luster, favorable spreadability during application, and also excellent stability. The oil-in-oil type cosmetic composition comprises (a) 5 to 80% by mass of non-volatile hydrocarbon oil, (b) 1 to 70% by mass of non-volatile silicone oil, and (c) 0.1 to 10% by mass of dextrin fatty acid ester. Preferably, the non-volatile hydrocarbon oil (a) and the non-volatile silicone oil (b) are formulated at a ratio (mass ratio) of (a)/[(a)+(b)]=0.4 to 0.8.

A hair conditioning composition containing very little water from which a hair conditioner can be easily produced by diluting with water, and a low energy production method thereof. A hair conditioning composition including (a) 10 to 90% by mass of specifically structured higher alcohols and/or derivatives thereof, (b) 5 to 35% by mass of cationic surfactant, and (c) a polyhydric alcohol and/or polyethylene glycol having a melting point of 70&#xb0; C. or less, wherein the melting point of a gel which is formed from (a) and (b) in the composition is 70&#xb0; C. or less, the water content is 10% by mass or less, and the molar ratio of (a) to (b) is 2.5 or more to less than 6.0. Also, a low energy method of producing a hair conditioner by melting the hair conditioning composition under heating at the temperature of the melting point of gel or more to 70&#xb0; C. or less, and diluting it with water in an amount of 3 to 15 times by mass.

Hair conditioning composition and low energy method of producing the same

An object of the present invention is to establish means for reliably incorporating a poorly soluble UV-absorbing agent into a hair cosmetic composition, to thereby provide a hair cosmetic composition which has excellent effect of preventing UV-hair damage and which exhibits favorable sensation in use thereof. Specifically, the object can be attained through provision of a hair cosmetic composition including the following ingredients (1) and (2): wherein R represents a phytosterol residue or a phytostanol residue; m is a number from 0 to 100; and n is a number from 5 to 100, and (2) a UV-absorbing agent having a triazine group.

A skin treatment composition that characteristically contains alkylene polyglycol dineopentanoate having a specific structure. The object is to provide a skin treatment composition that gives a refreshing sensation at the time of application and contains an oil component that is highly safe with low skin irritation. The skin treatment composition specifically contains diethyleneglycol dineopentanoate, triethyleneglycol dineopentanoate, tetraethyleneglycol dineopentanoate, dipropyleneglycol dineopentanoate, tripropyleneglycol dineopentanoate, etc. Dipropyleneglycol dineopentanoate and tripropyleneglycol dineopentanoate are particularly preferable in terms of the sensation at the time of application; they provide a skin treatment composition that is particularly superior in absorption into the skin and a sensation of permeation and highly safe.

External preparation for the skin

The present invention provides: an oil-in-water emulsion composition, into which an oil-soluble drug is stably incorporated and which is excellent in feeling during use; and a method for producing the aforementioned composition, which does not require complicated operations. An oil-in-water emulsion composition comprising; (A) a polyoxyethylene phytosterol, (B) a glycerin fatty acid diester, (C) a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene random copolymer dialkyl ether, (D) an oil-soluble drug, (E) oil, and (F) water; wherein a layered gel structure composed of the components (A) and (B) is present in an emulsion particle in the emulsion composition.

Oil-in-water emulsion composition and method for producing the same

A skin treatment composition of the present invention is an external composition for skin comprising an alkylene oxide derivative expressed by Formula (I):RO&#x2014;[(AO)(EO)]&#x2014;R&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein AO is an oxyalkylene group of Cor C; EO is an oxyethylene group; m and n are 1&#x2266;m&#x2266;70 and 1&#x2266;n&#x2266;70 respectively, wherein EO is 20&#x2dc;80% by weight with respect to a total of AO and EO; each of Rand Ris a hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having C. The alkylene oxide derivative (I) has a moisturizing effect, a rough skin improving effect, a stickiness improving effect, and a transdermal absorption promoting effect. When a refreshing agent is used together therewith in the composition of the present invention, the refreshing effect lasts for a long time and it is excellent in feeling of use without skin stimulation.

Skin treatment composition

The present invention is a skin treatment composition that characteristically contains an alkyl benzoate represented by the following general formula (1). This provides a skin treatment composition that gives a refreshing sensation at the time of application and can contain drugs and ultraviolet absorbents in a stable manner. Also, the present invention is a sunblock water-in-oil type emulsified cosmetic characteristically comprising an ester bond product of polyhydroxystearic acid represented by the following general formulas (2) or (3), alkyl benzoate represented by the following general formula (1), and an ultraviolet absorbent. This provides a sunblock cosmetic consisting of a water-in-oil type emulsified composition that can contain an ultraviolet absorbent in a stable manner and exhibits a superior usability. (In this formula, R denotes a branched or straight chain alkyl group having 8-15 carbon atoms.) (In this formula, Rand Rdenote, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, a+b denotes an integer 1-30, and m denotes an integer 10-200.) (In this formula, Rand Rdenote, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, a+b denotes an integer 1-30, and n denotes an integer 1-30.)
