A method for generating a user interface for analyzing a patient-specific electronic medical or health record that includes a problem list includes the steps of grouping related potential problems into problem list categories, grouping a subset of the problems into clusters within the categories, mapping, using a computer, entries in the problem list with a respective description in an interface terminology, associating one or more of other medical data, e.g., medication, lab results, procedures, imaging results, past medical history or surgeries, notes, vital signs, or allergy data in the record withdf at least one problem, receiving a request corresponding to a problem or problem list category or to other medical data, identifying non-problem data in the record grouped in a cluster with the requested data, and modifying a user interface to display the identified data separate from other similar medical data included in the electronic medical or health record.

System and method for generating and updating a user interface to evaluate an electronic medical record

A system and method for facilitating dictionary migration or dictionary mapping from a first vocabulary or a first dictionary of terms to a second vocabulary includes one or more computers configured to carry out the steps of mapping a subset of the first set of terms to respective terms in an interface terminology and flagging another subset as not mapped to respective terms in the interface terminology. The system then may provide suggested mappings for the non-mapped terms, relying on user-supplied indications in order to map those terms. The system and method also may map the first dictionary terms to a reference terminology, an administrative terminology, or a clinical terminology or, conversely, may use those external terminologies to assist in mapping to the interface terminology.

A medical classification code modeling system and method that generates visual maps in response to user queries, where the visual maps represent combinations of modifiers of an interface terminology that, taken together, map to medical classification code elements. A system and process for record duplication analysis that relies on a multi-membership Bayesian analysis to determine the probability that records within a data set are matches. The Bayesian calculation may rely on objective data describing the data set as well as subjective assessments of the data set. In addition, a system and process for record duplication analysis may rely on the predetermination of probabilistic patterns, where the system only searches for patterns exceeding a chosen threshold. Work flow may include selecting which fields within each record should be analyzed, normalizing the values within those fields and removing default data, calculating possible patterns and their match probabilities, analyzing record pairs to determine which have patterns exceeding a chosen threshold to determine the presence of duplicates, and merging duplicates, closing transactions reflecting non-duplicates, identifying records having insufficient data to determine the existence or lack of a match, and/or rolling back accidental merges.

A method for interfacing applications to maintain data integrity. A client service identifies new or changed data in a client application. The data is then posted to a core service in a transaction. Next, the client applications that need updating are determined. For the client applications that need updating a pending transaction directed to those client applications is stored in the queue storage. The client service for one of the client applications that needs updating searches the queue storage for the pending transaction. The client service then updates the client application that needs updating with the new or changed data.

Method for interfacing applications to maintain data integrity

A method for mapping and identifying entity information in a system that includes a database. A client application sends client entity attributes to the system that includes a database The system compares the attributes of the client entity with each of the system entities stored in the system database. Based on the results of the comparison, a score is calculated for the relevance between the client entity and each entity stored in the system. To perform this calculation, a multi-membership Bayesian function is used. Once the scores are computed, they are classified into three confidence zones based on predetermined threshold values. The client attributes are inserted into the system database. These attributes then are connected either to an existing system entity, or are connected to a new system entity that is created.
