A portable device for presenting situation awareness information is provided. The portable device is operable onboard an aircraft and includes a communications module configured to communicate with a data center to receive situation awareness information that includes at least a real-time position for each of a plurality of additional aircraft, a sensor module configured to determine a real-time position of the portable device, and a display device configured to overlay a moving map display with the situation awareness information and the real-time position of the portable device.

An unmanned vehicle management system includes an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) control station controlling one or more unmanned vehicles (UV), a collaborative routing system, and a communication network connecting the UAS and the collaborative routing system. The collaborative routing system being configured to receive flight parameters from an operator of the UAS control station and, based on the received flight parameters, automatically present the UAS control station with flight plan options to enable the operator to operate the UV in a defined airspace.

System and method for routing decisions in a separation management system

According to an embodiment herein, a method of predicting a trajectory of an aerospace vehicle comprises accessing an observation of a state of the vehicle from sensor data; and using a computing system to predict different possible future positions and attitudes of the vehicle, including using the sensor data and associated latencies to determine a set of vehicle state transitions. Each state transition in the set is computed as a function of estimated latency. The method further comprises using the computing system to update a prior distribution of the vehicle state with the state transitions. Consequently, the predicted trajectory is compensated for latency.

A separation management system includes a data input module for receiving and filtering aircraft information and airspace information related to a control aircraft and a relevant aircraft, the aircraft information enabling the calculation of a trajectory window for each aircraft. A conflict monitoring module may be included in the system for monitoring the trajectory window for each aircraft with respect to time and probabilistic location, the conflict monitoring module determining when a trajectory overlap occurs resulting from the intersection of the trajectory window for the control aircraft and the relevant aircraft. In addition, the system may include a separation routing module for rerouting the control aircraft when a trajectory overlap for the control aircraft is detected by the conflict monitoring module.

A method, apparatus, and computer program product are presented for detecting motion within an amorphous sensor node array. The operations performed include detecting an object at a node in the array, with a node that detects an object termed a 'detecting node'. Another operation includes sensitizing nodes about the detecting node to the possibility that the object will move toward the sensitized nodes. Still another operation includes, when the object moves toward a sensitized node, detecting the object at the sensitized node and propagating a warning signal to a distance from the sensitized node in the direction of the motion of the object. In another aspect, nodes are differentiated into a pattern comprising pattern elements, where each pattern element comprises at least one node, wherein the pattern is used to determine which nodes are sensitized about a detecting node and to determine a propagation direction for the warning signal.

Motion prediction within an amorphous sensor array

A method, apparatus, and computer program product are presented for directing the movement of an agent in an environment. The operations of the invention comprise determining at least a first zone and direction to objects in at least a portion of the environment around the agent. A determination is also made regarding whether the agent is surrounded by objects. If the agent is surrounded by objects, it stays in the same position, and if it is not surrounded, a determination is made regarding whether the closest object is beyond the first zone from the agent. If the closest object is beyond the first zone, the agent may be moved toward a portion of the environment having the greatest object-saturation, and if the closest object is within the first zone, the agent can be moved toward a portion of the environment having the least object-saturation. Other zones may be provided.
