The present disclosure relates to demulsifier compositions and methods of resolving emulsions using the compositions. The demulsifiers include modified hydroxy-succinimide copolymers. For example, the demulsifiers may include ethoxylated or propoxylated hydroxy-succinimide copolymers. The demulsifier compositions are useful for resolving oil-in-water, water-in-oil, and complex emulsions of water and oil.

Crude oil demulsifier compositions and uses thereof

Methods and dispersing agents for dispersing a polymeric low dose hydrate inhibitor are disclosed. More specifically, the method comprises contacting an aqueous fluid containing a polymeric low dose hydrate inhibitor with a dispersing agent. The dispersing agent can be selected from the group consisting of a C-Calkyl sulfate, a C-Calkyl ether sulfate, a C-Ccarbonyl sarcosinate, a C-Calkylbenezene sulfonate, a quaternary-ammonium based corrosion inhibitor, a glycol ether, and a combination thereof.

Method for dispersing kinetic hydrate inhibitors

The present disclosure relates to methods and compositions for reducing fouling by natural and synthetic foulants that tend to precipitate during hydrocarbon collecting, processing, transporting, and storing. The method includes applying a composition to a hydrocarbon containing the foulant. The composition includes an effective amount of a reaction product of an α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer and an amino-hydroxy compound. The foulants may include wax and asphaltenes, for example.

The present invention generally relates to methods and hydrate inhibitor compositions for inhibiting the formation of hydrates in a fluid comprising gas and water. More specifically, the method comprises contacting a hydrate inhibitor composition to a fluid. The hydrate inhibitor composition comprises a nonpolar solvent; a polar solvent; and a polymer, an oligomer, a dendrimer, or an acid or salt thereof.

This disclosure relates to anti-agglomerant low dosage hydrate inhibitors that can inhibit the formation of hydrate agglomerants and/or plugs. Thus, provided herein are carboxy alkyl ester compounds that can be used in hydrate inhibitor compositions and methods of inhibiting formation of hydrate agglomerants in a fluid comprising water, a gas, and optionally a liquid hydrocarbon. Also provided herein are methods of making the carboxy alkyl ester compound.

The second monomer does not comprise the first monomer.
