A method includes receiving a plurality of data points including electrical activation (EA) values measured at respective positions in at least a portion of a surface of a cardiac chamber of a heart of a patient. Using a predefined EA value criterion, the EA values in a given region of the cardiac surface are classified into multiple distinct EA wave-fronts, and multiple layers of EA values are calculated for the given region, wherein each EA layer includes the EA values found to belong to a respective and contiguous EA wave-front. The multiple EA layers are overlayed on a graphical representation of the surface. The graphical representation with the multiple overlaid EA layers is displayed to a user, with a graphical indication distinguishing between the multiple EA layers.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for medical procedures are disclosed herein and include sensing a plurality of tissue electrical potentials at an organ area of an organ, by one or more electrodes on a catheter, determining a number of peak electrical potentials from the plurality of first tissue electrical potentials such that the a peak electrical potential exceeds a potential threshold, determining a first visual characteristic based on the number of peak electrical potential and displaying a rendering of the organ comprising the organ area such that the rendering of the first organ area comprises the first visual characteristic.

Enhanced visualization of organ electrical activity

A medical display processing device and a method of reusing data includes acquiring, over time via electrodes, electrical signals each acquired via one of the electrodes and indicating electrical activity at a location of a portion of patient anatomy in a 3D space. Electrical signal data, corresponding to the electrical signals, is filtered according to first filter parameter settings and first mapping information is generated for displaying a map of the portion of patient anatomy and the filtered electrical signal data. An indication of a region of the portion of patient anatomy on the map is received and second mapping information is generated for displaying, at the region on the map, a portion of the electrical signal data previously filtered from display.

Data reuse for filling in missing data points

A method includes receiving a bipolar signal sensed by a pair of electrodes at a location in a heart of a patient. One or more electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are received, sensed by body-surface electrodes attached to the patient. Two or more successive QRS complexes are identified in the bipolar signal. One or more activations are detected in the bipolar signal, which occur within a window-of-interest that begins at least a given time with respect to the identified QRS complexes. The detected activations are checked whether they are late potentials, by verifying whether (i) the activations do not coincide with a predefined event observed in the ECG signals, and (ii) the activations are repeatable in the successive QRS complexes. In response to deciding that at least one of the detected activations is a late potential, the latest of the at least one of the late potentials is visualized to a user.

Annotation of late potentials comprising local abnormal ventricular activation (LAVA) signals

Methods, apparatus, and systems for medical procedures are disclosed herein and include detecting points of an intra-cardiac area that exhibits abnormal activations, such as local abnormal ventricular activations (LAVAs). Points that exhibit such abnormal activations may be referred to as seed points that are identified during a first step of the process disclosed herein. The seed points may be identified using one or more inputs such as unipolar and bipolar mapping channels, body surface ECGs, past activations, neighboring points and the like during the first step which prioritizes high specificity over sensitivity. During a second step which prioritizes high sensitivity, electrical activations of neighboring points near the seed points are analyzed to determine if the activations are similar (e.g., have a similar time) as the abnormal activations corresponding to the corresponding seed points.

Method and apparatus to find abnormal activations in intra-cardiac electrocardiograms based on specificity and sensitivity

An endobronchial probe includes a deflector having a bore extending therethrough at an angle to its long axis for passage of a tool. The probe includes a location sensor and an ultrasound imager. A push-pull anchoring system comprises a plurality of guides and wires that can extend beyond the guides and retract within the guides. When extended the wires diverge from the long axis sufficiently to engage a bronchus. The probe includes a balloon disposed on the distal segment contralateral to bore that when inflated urges the mouth of the bore into contact with the bronchial wall.
