A method, system and apparatus are disclosed for transmitting feedback information when operating in unlicensed portions of the radio frequency spectrum. In one embodiment, a wireless device is configured to receive a configuration for a 5 plurality of channels, the configuration configuring each of the plurality of channels with at least one physical uplink control channel, PUCCH, resource; and transmit feedback on the at least one PUCCH resource that is configured in at least one channel of the plurality of channels. In another embodiment, a network node is configured to transmit a configuration for a plurality of channels, the configurationconfiguring each of the plurality of channels with at least one physical uplink control channel, PUCCH, resource; and receive feedback on the at least one PUCCH resource that is configured in at least one channel of the plurality of channels.

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for energy detection in unlicensed spectrum. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a radio node includes determining a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) value; and listen-before-talk (LBT) parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or the LBT parameter settings for one or more LBT parameters depending on an energy detection (ED) threshold value used to access a channel in an unlicensed spectrum; and performing a LBT procedure to gain access to the channel and a transmission on the channel according to the LBT parameter settings and the MCOT value. In one embodiment, a method in a network node includes configuring a wireless device with a MCOT value and LBT parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or LBT parameter settings depending on an ED threshold value used at the wireless device to access the channel.

Flexible energy detection in unlicensed spectrum

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for supporting enhanced dynamic codebook Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) feedback. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) in accordance with a fallback DCI format. The DCI comprises downlink scheduling information that indicates downlink resources allocated for a downlink data channel transmission to the wireless communication device. The fallback DCI format does not include an explicit indication of an identifier of a downlink data channel group of the downlink data channel transmission. The method further comprises attempting to receive and decode the transmission and determining a downlink data channel group for the transmission based on the DCI. The method further comprises generating a dynamic codebook HARQ feedback for the downlink data channel group comprising HARQ feedback for the transmission and transmitting the dynamic codebook HARQ feedback to the base station.

Such methods include receiving, from a radio node in the RAN, a new feedback indicator (NFI) that indicates whether acknowledgement signaling previously scheduled for transmission by the UE was received by the radio node. The acknowledgement signaling is associated with one or more first downlink (DL) hybrid ARQ (HARQ) processes. Such methods include, when the NFI indicates the acknowledgement signaling was not received by the RAN node, selecting a first HARQ codebook to be used for encoding the acknowledgement signaling together with further acknowledgement signaling associated with one or more second DL HARQ processes. Such methods include, using the selected first HARQ codebook, encoding the acknowledgement signaling and the further acknowledgement signaling to obtain first encoded information and transmitting the first encoded information to the radio node via an uplink (UL) channel.
