A payment transaction is initiated for a user, based on a voice command, on a public voice-activated device. A user device associated with the user is identified. A transaction identifier is generated and transmitted to the identified user device. Once the user has entered their banking or credit card information to use for payment, a payment token is received from the user device. The transaction is then completed using the payment token. The payment token may be generated from a local digital wallet on the user device, or from a server-based digital wallet.

Systems and methods are described herein for retrieving an information file from a user profile about a scheduled trip, where access to content may be restricted and identifying, based on the consumption pattern, a first progression point before the scheduled start time and a second progression point after the scheduled end time of the scheduled trip. Based on the difference between the first and second progression points, the media guidance application causes to be stored the respective media assets on a consumption device. Then before departing for the scheduled trip, the media guidance application confirms the first progression points against the current progression point and causes to adjust the stored media assets based on a difference between the current progression point and the first progression point.

Systems and methods are provided for relocating an overlay overlapping information in content. The systems and methods may comprise receiving a content item, the content item comprising a video image, and determining a first screen position of an information box (e.g., a score box) in the video image. Determining may be performed with image analysis and/or a machine learning model. The system receives an overlay image (e.g., a channel logo) with a second screen position and determines if the second screen position (e.g., for the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., for the score). In response to determining the second screen position (e.g., of the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., the score), the system modifies the second screen position (e.g., for the logo). Then the system generates for display the overlay image on the video in the modified screen position. The system may not relocate the overlay if the overlay is a high priority.

Systems and methods are described for requesting media content playback. Media content item metadata relating to product endorsement in the media content item is accessed. An endorsement profile for the media content item is generated based on the media content item metadata. The endorsement profile comprises data relating to which segments of the media content item have product-related content. Systems and methods are provided herein for enabling a media content system to create an exclusive profile based on a joint profile that was used to interact with a plurality of content items provided by a media service. The joint profile contains consumption data for all users who interacted with the plurality of content items. Systems and methods for bandwidth-adaptive light field video transmission on mobile and portable devices is disclosed. An upstream bandwidth is estimated. A request for a service tier for capture and transmission of light field content is received, wherein the light field content comprises an image array of a plurality of sub-aperture images. When the requested service tier is greater than the estimated upstream bandwidth, a reduced service tier is determined based on the estimated upstream bandwidth. A number of sub-aperture images comprising a reduced image array is determined based on the reduced service tier. The image array is reduced to the reduced image array based on feature saliency and adjacency of sub-aperture images. Resources corresponding to the reduced service tier are provided for capture and transmission of the reduced image array.

The present disclosure relates to providing closed caption data to a media player. More particularly, the present invention relates to implementing a referencing mechanism leveraging repetition of content to transmit less closed caption data to a client device. Improved closed captioning and subtitling methods, mechanisms, techniques and systems described herein are introduced to provide a better viewing experience for a viewer of a media asset such as video, audio, or the like. As such, methods and systems are provided herein that reduces the signaling of unnecessary bytes to a media device and provides a more efficient way of providing timed text to the media device.
