An apparatus and method for delivery of fluids, particularly biological, reactive fluids. The apparatus provides an opening when force is acted on the apparatus, and closure when no force is acted thereon. The apparatus provides a cleaning mechanism to remove fluids and other materials from a mixing space after use.

Minimally clogging device for delivery of fluids

A device for the dressing of wounds and insertion sites of percutaneous and drug delivery devices provides 360 degree or complete circumferential protection of a wound or insertion site of a percutaneous or drug delivery device. In particular, the device is an integrated dressing for catheters comprising a pad and an adhesive dressing.

Integrated dressing device

An electrosurgical instrument and method is provided for transecting an organ. The electrosurgical instrument includes an introducer having a channel therein, and a conductive wire positioned in and deployable from the channel. A deployment device on the introducer is capable of moving the conductive wire between an undeployed position wherein it is substantially positioned within the channel, and a deployed position wherein a portion is deployed from and positioned outside of the channel and has a substantially looped configuration. A capture element at the distal end of the introducer can secure the distal end of the wire to the introducer, and the deployment device can subsequently move the wire toward the undeployed position to thereby cinch the conductive wire.

Electrosurgical instrument and method for transecting an organ

A woven mesh is provided for supporting tissue or an organ within a female patient's pelvis, and a method for using the same. The mesh includes a central portion having a width, a length, first and second ends, and first and second side edges, and first and second wing portions extending from the first and second ends of the central portion respectively. The first and second wing portions each have a width, a length, and first and second peripheral edges. The width of the wing portions are each greater than the width of the central portion, and when positioned within the female patient, the central portion is positioned below and supports the tissue or organ. A mesh is also provided having woven fibers with voids therebetween, and having a central portion and first and second ends. The average size of the voids at least in the central portion is at least 25&#x2013;50 mm, and when positioned within the patient, the central portion is positioned below and supports the tissue or organ.
