Devices, systems, and methods to verify a magnetic field phase drift and to check for proper function of a laser fiber cooling system during laser ablation therapy are disclosed. The laser fiber cooling system includes a cooling catheter insertable into laser ablation target tissue, a coupling assembly to define fluid channels, inflow and outflow ports, a fluid pump to pump fluid through the laser fiber cooling system, a fluid source, a first sensor to measure an inflow fluid parameter, a second sensor to measure an outflow fluid parameter, and a processor. Methods of verifying and checking include measuring the fluid parameter, comparing the inflow and outflow parameter measurements to determine a comparison value, comparing the comparison value to a tolerance range, and signaling a user when the comparison value is outside of the tolerance range.

Method and apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging thermometry

Laser ablation devices and related systems and methods may have laser outputs with multiple wavelengths. Laser ablation devices may include a laser energy source that can emit two or more laser outputs with different wavelengths. Some laser ablation devices include a processor to control the laser energy source to cause the laser energy source to emit a target wavelength blend with the laser outputs.

Dual wavelength laser ablation systems for MRI-guided ablation procedures and related devices and methods

Devices and systems used to ablate tissue of a tumor using laser energy are disclosed. The devices and systems include a laser probe and a magnetic resonance (MR) safe temperature probe. The MR safe temperature probe includes an optical sensor. A bone anchor fixture separates the laser probe and the MR safe temperature probe to prevent interference in the MR safe temperature probe data. Proton Resonance Frequency (PRF) thermometry is used to model a temperature of a pixel of an MR image located adjacent the optical sensor. The modeled pixel temperature and the measured temperature are compared and monitored. Exceeding a threshold difference value causes an intervening action to occur.

System and method for correlating proton resonance frequency thermometry with tissue temperatures

Systems and methods for protecting non-target tissue from damage during a medical procedure for disrupting target tissue via heat application are disclosed. Data associated with the target tissue to be disrupted may be received. Based on the received data, one or more non-target objects of tissue that may be affected by the applied heat are identified. Both a temperature threshold and thermal dose threshold for each of the one or more non-target objects may be generated. Both the temperature and the thermal dose of each of the one or more non-target objects may be evaluated during performance of the medical procedure. A response may be generated when either the evaluated temperature of any of the one or more non-target objects reaches the corresponding temperature threshold or the thermal dose of any of the one or more non-target objects reaches the corresponding thermal dose threshold.

Protecting non-target tissue during ablation procedures and related systems and methods

A method and system is disclosed for displaying acquired image data of a subject. The image may include a high resolution of clear image based on the acquired image data. The image may assist in evaluating the subject.
