Disclosed is a toy construction piece being in the form of a half-shell having a bottom portion, a top portion, a bottom wall portion and first and second pair of top wall portions. The bottom wall portion is generally octagonal in shape. The first and second pair of top wall portions extend perpendicularly to each other from the bottom wall portion to the top portion, forming together a generally pyramidal shape and defining four generally dihedral recesses between the four adjacent top wall portions respectively. Each of the dihedral recesses have a bottom in the form of a flat surface. Each of the flat surfaces have rows of outwardly projecting pegs and have an opening also having outwardly projecting pegs. The top portion has a border having two rows of outwardly projecting pegs, the inner row being downwardly recessed from the other. The border defines an opening therein and has an inner surface having outwardly projecting pegs. The bottom of the toy construction piece has openings cooperating with the pegs of a standard block for releasably interlocking the standard block on the bottom of the toy construction piece. The toy construction may be used to construct elaborate structures. The toy construction piece disclosed may also be a part of a kit for assembling more elaborate structures. To that effect, the kit may include standard toy construction blocks, a hinge for interconnecting two identical toy construction pieces, a support member, a leg and a foot, a turret, a cockpit and a cockpit hinge and a triangular piece.

Reversible race track section

A reversible track section for a toy car circuit. The reversible track section has a length, two opposite ends, two opposite sides, a top surface and a bottom surface. The reversible track section includes a thin, elongated plate including a central recess on the top surface. The central recess is of given height and rectangular cross-section and extends over the length defining two narrow pathways on the bottom surface, and includes a pair of longitudinal flanges on each of the opposite sides extending perpendicular to the top surface and towards the bottom surface. The longitudinal flanges are of the same height as the central recess and each is provided with an integral, outwardly projecting extension of constant width. The extension has a top surface, a bottom surface, a lateral surface, a thickness smaller than the height of the corresponding longitudinal flange, including a central portion and opposite ends thicker than the central portion, provided with alternating studs and cavities along the length on both the extension top and bottom surfaces and with an outwardly projecting stud extending perpendicularly to the lateral surface on each of the end portions. In a pit, a plurality of the reversible track sections may be interconnected in series with the top surface oriented upwardly to form a 'grand prix' circuit for a wheeled vehicle having a downwardly projecting pin designed to fit into the central recess to help guide the wheeled vehicle around the circuit, or, alternatively, the plurality of reversible track sections may be reversed and interconnected in series with the bottom surface oriented upwardly to form a 'speedway' circuit for a pair of wheeled vehicles designed to fit within the two narrow pathways, where some of the reversible track sections are straight and some of the reversible track section are curved. A 'grand prix' circuit may also include a directional switch for assembling more than one loop or may include a self-operating stopping pit.

Reversible race track system

The dryer comprises a plurality of extendible air conducting tubes each of which is independently pivotally connected to the hot air supply, in order to dry footwear while the footwear is resting on the floor and being partly supported by the tube, and the tubes may be directed upwardly to support handwear. The tubes are provided with air flow controlling nozzles which adjust the flow of air by rotating a cap member. The cap member has air outlet slits on diametrically opposed sides with more slits blowing air towards a toe of the footwear than towards a heel. Turning the cap to block the air flow is done when any given tube is not required for footwear or handwear drying.
