An elevator car includes a car box. The car box includes a frame structure that includes a floor element, vertical beams connected to the floor element, and roof beams connected to the vertical beams. The car box further includes walls, each including wall elements of rectangular shape fixed side-by-side to the frame structure and extending from one edge side of the car box to another. The car box includes a roof including roof elements of rectangular shape fixed side-by-side to the frame structure and extending from one edge side of the car box to another. The car box includes and interior bounded by at least the floor element, the walls, and the roof. At least on set of elements, of the roof elements and the wall elements, includes elements associated with separate, respective integrated functionalities.

Elevator car and elevator

A counterweight arrangement for an elevator, includes a first vertical guide rail and a second vertical guide rail, the guide rails defining a vertical guide rail plane, a counterweight arranged to travel between the guide rails guided by the guide rails, the counterweight including a frame, which includes a first upright beam and a second upright beam and a cross beam connecting the upper ends of the upright beams, and a diverting pulley mounted between the guide rails on the cross beam of the counterweight frame, the pulley having a vertical plane of rotation, which crosses the guide rail plane. The cross beam is aligned parallel with the plane of rotation of the pulley. An elevator includes the aforementioned counterweight arrangement.

Counterweight arrangement for an elevator and an elevator

An elevator includes an elevator hoistway with an elevator car arranged to move therein. The elevator car includes an interior bounded by at least the elevator care roof. A frame structure includes two parallel, horizontal, elongated roof beams that are at a horizontal distance from each other. Between the roof beams is a trough that has an upward-facing base surface, and a standing platform in connection with the roof of the elevator car that includes a standing surface, immediately above which is a space free of the parts of the elevator car and free of the ropes of the elevator, for enabling standing on top of the standing surface at least when the elevator car is situated at a distance from the top end of the elevator hoistway. The standing surface forms at least a part of the base surface of the trough.

Integrated roof structure of an elevator car

An elevator includes a hoisting machine, hoisting roping, an elevator hoistway, and an elevator car arranged to move in the elevator hoistway, and possibly a counterweight. The elevator car includes an interior, which is bounded by at least a roof of the elevator car, and a frame structure, which includes one or more parallel, horizontal, elongated roof beams in connection with the roof of the elevator car, preferably two parallel, horizontal, elongated roof beams, and which elevator includes one or more luminaires for lighting the interior of the elevator car. The structure of each of the one or more luminaires, preferably at least the light source and/or reflective surface of each of the one or more luminaires, is mainly by the side of the one or more roof beams.

Elevator

A method and an arrangement are provided for fixing the compensating ropes of an elevator to an elevator car or to a counterweight, which elevator includes at least a hoisting machine and hoisting roping, suspended by which the elevator car as well as the counterweight are arranged to travel, and between which elevator car and counterweight compensating ropes are fixed such that the first ends of the compensating ropes are fixed to the counterweight, from where the compensating ropes are led downwards to pass below a compensating pulley, after which upwards to the elevator car, where the second ends of the compensating ropes are fixed by wedge housings in connection with the elevator car. When fixing the ends of the compensating ropes in connection with the elevator car or the counterweight, the wedge housings are turned into an inclined attitude before disposing the ends of the compensating ropes in the wedge housings.
