A vapor cartridge for a non-combustible vaping device may be configured to receive a flavor cartridge, generate a vapor, and direct the generated vapor through the flavor cartridge to provide a flavored vapor. The flavor cartridge may include an instance of electrically conductive material extending at least partially around the flavor cartridge. The vapor cartridge may include an authentication assembly including a set of electrically conductive instruments may independently and directly contact the instance of electrically conductive material of the flavor cartridge inserted into the vapor cartridge, such that the electrically conductive instruments are electrically connected to each other through the instance of electrically conductive material of the flavor cartridge. The vapor cartridge may be coupled with a base that includes a control circuitry configured to control vapor generation by the vapor generator, based on the electrically conductive instruments being electrically connected to each other through the flavor cartridge.

In some example embodiments, a reservoir assembly may include a reservoir and an isolation structure. The reservoir may hold a pre-vapor formulation. The reservoir may include a first fluid port extending through a housing of the reservoir, where the first fluid port may enable fluid communication between the reservoir and an exterior of the reservoir assembly. The reservoir may be coupled to a vaporizer assembly that includes a second fluid port configured to enable fluid communication between the reservoir and vaporizer assembly, or the reservoir may be coupled to a vaporizer connector assembly that includes a second fluid port configured to enable fluid communication between the reservoir and an exterior through the vaporizer connector assembly. The isolation structure may move in relation to the reservoir and the vaporizer connector assembly to a position where it exposes one of the fluid ports and covers the other.

The instructions define at least one of a disable mode, an intra-session mode, or an inter-session mode. At least one example embodiment discloses a pod for an electronic vapor (e-vapor) apparatus. The pod includes a pre-vapor formulation compartment configured to hold a pre-vapor formulation therein, a device compartment in fluidic communication with the pre-vapor formulation compartment, the device compartment including a processor configured to monitor the pre-vapor formulation compartment and identify the pre-vapor formulation and a vapor channel extending from the device compartment and through the pre-vapor formulation compartment.

The open spaces within the frame may be interconnected and sized for aerosol-permeability and capillary action.

A method of controlling a hot wire anemometer (HWA) of a nicotine e-vaping device includes controlling, by a first PID controller, a level of power applied by the nicotine e-vaping device to the HWA based on a temperature of a heated element of the HWA and a temperature setpoint; generating a puff detection signal indicating whether or not a puff is currently occurring with respect to the nicotine e-vaping device; and while the puff detection signal indicates that a puff is not currently occurring with respect to the nicotine e-vaping device, detecting, by a second PID controller, a change in an ambient temperature of the HWA, and controlling, by the second PID controller, the temperature setpoint such that the temperature setpoint changes in response to the detected change in the ambient temperature of the HWA.

A nicotine e-vaping device includes a heater, a power control circuit, and a memory module. The heater element is configured to heat nicotine pre-vapor formulation. The power control circuit is coupled to the heater element through a wire. The power control circuit is configured to apply a pulse width modulated power signal to the heater element through the wire, and to receive information over the wire. The memory module is configured to detect a plurality of pulses in the pulse width modulated power signal, record information based on the detected plurality of pulses, and output the recorded information to the power control circuit via the wire.

The apparatus includes a surface heater in contact with a surface of the body of gel formulation, the heater being configured to heat the body of gel formulation to form a vapor.
