A vehicle determines that a trigger state designated for user assistance for a user traveling away from a vehicle has occurred. The vehicle determines that an alert action to be taken, defined in conjunction with the trigger state and determines that a user has not returned to a vehicle based on a failure to detect a user wireless device. The vehicle automatically executes the alert action responsive to the trigger state occurrence and failure to detect the user device.

Vehicle as a beacon

A vehicle includes a heat exchanger, a transmission, and a controller. The transmission is configured to transfer power within a powertrain. The transmission has a primary fluid circuit, a secondary fluid circuit, and a valve. The secondary fluid circuit is configured to divert the fluid from the primary fluid circuit and deliver the fluid to the heat exchanger. The valve is configured to control diverting fluid from the primary fluid circuit to the secondary fluid circuit. The controller is programmed to, in response to a temperature of the fluid being outside of a desired range, open the valve to direct the fluid toward the heat exchanger via the secondary fluid circuit. The controller is further programmed to, in response to the temperature of the fluid being within the desired range, close the valve to isolate the fluid from the secondary fluid circuit and the heat exchanger.

Transmission fluid temperature control system

A hydraulic boost valve includes a housing, a valve seat, and a piston. The housing defines an axially extending internal cavity, a slot that extends radially outward from the internal cavity within the housing, and an outlet port that establishes fluid communication between the slot and a fluid output circuit. The valve seat is secured to an end of the housing. The valve seat defines first and second orifices. The first orifice establishes fluid communication between a fluid input circuit and the outlet port via the slot. The second orifice establishes fluid communication between the fluid input circuit and the fluid output circuit. The piston is disposed within the internal cavity such that the slot is positioned between the piston and an external wall of the housing.

Hydraulic boost valve

A process for making foil type fishing lures and the product thereof. The process provides a low cost method of making a variety of lures from a common blank, each having accuracy and balance with unique features and actions. A blank is first cut from a sheet of metal and a surface finish thereafter is applied to the blank. The overall shape of the blank is a truncated oval with a rounded leading portion and a segmented truncated trailing portion. Within the segmented trailing portion is a slot which divides the blank into symmetrical half segments. A compound shape is next formed in the metal of the blank by a lateral displacement of the trailing segments which bows the metal. Displacement of the segments also closes the slot and reduces the surface area of the lure. The compound shape is then fixed by interconnecting the trailing segments at their displaced positions. The final step is the assembly of remaining hardware to the body of the lure.
