In a multi-stage forming machine, a die-change device, for male dies in a male-die block has a mounting plate for receiving a clamping face of the male-die block on one side. Bayonet fasteners on hollow pistons in the mounting plate then engage the male dies, and a pressure medium then moves the hollow pistons to move the male dies against thrust pieces displacably in the hollow pistons and the thrust pieces against an adjusting wedge on the opposite side of the mounting plate.

Die-change device for a multi-stage forming machine

A device for feeding material in the form of a coil of wire from a fixture for receiving and rotating said coil of wire through a straightening apparatus and a heating station to a hot and semi-cold metal-working machine in an intermittent manner. The device includes a cold feeding fixture with one or more pair of rollers which act on the cold wire to pull the wire from the coil and through the straightening apparatus and a hot feeding fixture downstream of the heating station with at least one pair of feed rollers which act on the hot wire and urge the hot wire against a stop of the metal-working machine. The device also includes adjustable link means for driving both feeding fixtures in formulant synchronism with the metal-working machine.

Process and appliance for feeding material to hot and semi-cold

The present invention relates to transfer mechanism for multiple punch presses with two co-operating pairs of conveyor tongs which are fixed to a carrier element. The carrier element is movably mounted in a housing and driven to-and-fro to the operating rhythm of the punch press. The carrier element includes a bore effective to direct a lubricating fluid therethrough. Lubricating lines supply lubricating fluid to the bore at a desired fluid pressure. The bore has an outlet opening contiguous to the structure which incorporates the conveyor tongs. In the event that the conveyor tongs break away from the carrier element, the outlet opening of the bore is uncovered and the fluid pressure drops. The power supply to the press and the lubricating fluid supply are stopped in response to such a pressure drop.
