Method of preparing an adhesive article

An adhesive article including a liner having a first side and a second side; and an adhesive having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the second surface of the adhesive contacts the first side of the liner, wherein the article has been exposed to E-Beam radiation through the second side of the liner, and wherein the article has been wound upon itself causing the second side of the liner to come into contact with the first surface of the adhesive, and wherein the second side of the liner to the first surface of the adhesive have a release value that is less than the release value of the first side of the liner to the second surface of the adhesive. A method of producing an adhesive article including the steps of applying release coating compound(s) to a second side of a liner backing; applying an adhesive onto a first side of said coated liner backing; crosslinking said adhesive with E-Beam radiation applied through the second side of said liner backing; and winding said article into a roll.

Adhesive article and method of preparing

The invention is a tamper indicating device including a backing. The backing includes a first phase and a second phase. The backing is normally light transmissive, but a peeling force causes the backing to internally delaminate and become opaque. A first skin layer is fixed to the backing wherein the skin layer minimizes pre-destruction of the backing. A layer of adhesive is applied to the first skin layer, which can be affixed to a substrate.

Tamper indicating device

The present invention provides a release coated film, an adhesive tape comprising a release coated film, and processes for preparing the same. The fluoropolymer release layer comprises a graft copolymer of (i) a base polymer containing polymerized units derived from monomers having terminal olefinic double bonds, and (ii) a moiety comprising a fluoroaliphatic group. The film may be coextruded and may subsequently be oriented in at least one direction. Alternately, the release coating can be extrusion coated onto a backing and may be subsequently oriented if the backing is orientable. Adhesives may be coated onto the release coated films either before or after orientation, or they may be coextruded along with the release coating and/or backing.

Extrudable release coating

A foldable crab trap for catching crabs which includes a central hinge member, a central frame member connected to the central hinge member, and a pair of outer frame members each having crab nets. The outer frame members are movable relative to the central hinge member between an open position wherein the outer frame members are in the same plane for receiving crabs, and a closed position wherein the outer frame member are parallel to each other for trapping crabs. A tension line is connected to the outer ends of the outer frame members and to the outer end of the central frame member for moving the outer frame members to the closed position. The tension line has a free end adapted to be held under tension by the crab catcher for signalling the crab catcher when a crab is present in the crab trap. A bait bag containing bait is connected under tension to the central frame member so that when a crab nibbles on the bait it causes movement of the central frame member and movement of the tension line to signal the crab catcher that a crab is present in the crab trap, and so that the crab catcher may pull on the tension line for moving the outer frame members to the closed position and for lifting the crab trap out of the water.

A tamper indicating tape for use with a closure or container. The tape comprises a film including phase separated polymers. Colored indicia are applied to opposing major surfaces of the film indicative of a condition that someone has tampered with the tape, e.g., tape removal and reattachment, or abrading. The film further bears a layer of adhesive thereon as a means for adhering the tape to a portion of a container or to a closure tape on a can lid. When the film of the tamper indicating tape is sufficiently split, one set of colored indicia is obscured and the other set of colored indicia is rendered perceptible. When the film is abraded to remove the perceptible set of colored indicia, the aforementioned obscured set of colored indicia is rendered perceptible.

A tamper indicating film and tape for use with a package. The tape includes a delaminating film including pahse separated polymers. Indicia are applied to opposing major surfaces of the film indicative of different conditions of the tape. The film is adhesively applied to secure container parts together and enclose an opening in the container. When applied, only one of the indicia are perceptible. When the film is internally delaminated, obscuring one set of indicia and rendering the other set of indicia perceptible.
