A magnetically inductive flowmeter having a pressure-resistant housing made of plastic, comprising a measuring unit with a measuring channel of rectangular cross-section which is flown through by the measurement fluid, a channel wall, two opposing magnet poles at the channel wall, an electromagnet with magnet coil and magnet core for generating a magnetic alternating field as well as two opposing measurement electrodes in the channel wall. The magnet poles are punched, bent and folded parts made of electric sheet metal in the form of an elongate strip with mutually distanced surface elements formed thereon. The elongate strip forms a double web after folding. The surface elements form magnet pole surfaces after bending. The double web and the magnet pole surfaces form the magnet pole. The double web is located on the rear side of the magnet pole.

A magnetic-inductive flow meter is provided that includes a pressure-resistant plastic housing that includes an inlet port, an outlet port, and an intermediate measuring unit that has a duct wall and a measurement duct through which the fluid to be measured flows. Two opposite measuring electrodes are arranged in the duct wall and are oriented perpendicular to the magnet poles. Taking into account the maximum admissible pressure for the selected plastic, the duct wall is reduced to a minimum admissible thickness in the region of the magnet poles. An internal reinforcement cage that includes at least two internal transverse bulkheads and at least two internal longitudinal ribs stabilizes the duct wall. An external reinforcement cage that includes at least two first external longitudinal ribs retains and stabilizes the internal reinforcement cage and connects the measuring unit in a tension-proof manner to the inlet port and the outlet port.

Magnetic inductive flow meter

A magnetic flow meter includes a first spud end, a second spud end, and a sensing area positioned between the first spud end and the second spud end. The sensing area has a wall thickness that is thinner than a thickness of the first spud end and the second spud end. The flow meter can be manufactured via molding while a plug is positioned in at least two holes of the magnetic flow meter. The flow meter can also be manufactured to have a near hermetic seal formed by inserting a flexible printed circuit board in a slit of a gasket and then either compressing a register cup surrounding the tube gasket or driving a pin into a center pin around which the tube gasket is positioned.
