A method and apparatus for stretching and aligning film sheets to a lenticular substrate comprising supporting members for the film sheet, two actuator assemblies positioned on opposite sides of a film sheet with a rigid bar member connecting the actuator means, 'flexible' clamping members to engage the edges of the film sheet, a constraint member for the film sheet and lenticular substrate and detection means to detect errors in positioning of the film sheet image (substrate) and lenticular substrate.

Apparatus for stretching and aligning film sheets

A x-ray fill cassette for use with radiographic film. The cassette has a tube side unit and a cover unit. The units together define a film space for the film. The units are relatively pivotable between an open state and a closed state. The tube side unit is substantially convex in at least one of length and width dimensions when the traits are in the open state. The tube side unit is substantially flat in both length and width dimensions when the film is in the film space and the units are in the closed state. The tube side unit includes a compressible pad that adjoins the fill space. The cover unit includes a cover panel, a pressure panel, and an intensifying screen. The cover panel and the pressure panel are rigidly mounted in spaced parallel relation. The intensifying screen is adhered directly to the pressure panel adjoining the film space. The convexity of the tube side unit and the compressible pad are selected to impose on the film, when the film is in the closed state, a substantially uniform compressive force of from about 0.09 psi to about 0.35 psi.

Intensifying x-ray film cassette

A plastic syringe adapted for use with power injector systems comprises a cylindrical barrel for receiving a liquid, a plunger axially reciprocable within the barrel for discharging the liquid therefrom, a discharge extension at the distal end of the barrel terminating in a discharge outlet, at least one radially outwardly extending mounting lug located at or near the outer proximal end of the barrel, the lug having a distal surface having first and second ends defining a constrained portion of the barrel, and the lug being crown shaped such that the center of the distal surface of the lug is distally offset from the ends of the lug. In another embodiment, the syringe comprises a cylindrical collar adapted to fit over and attach to the proximal end of the cylindrical barrel, and the crowned lug is located at or near the outer proximal end of the collar. The crowned lug reduces stresses on the lug during injection, thus providing improved reliability and enabling the syringe to be fabricated of lower modulus autoclavable plastics.
