Various implementations include in-ear wearable audio devices. In certain implementations, the in-ear audio devices include an eartip with a body having first and second ends, an inner wall extending between the first and second ends defining a hollow passage to conduct acoustic energy, and a deformable outer wall connected to the inner wall of the body at the first end and tapering away from the inner wall toward the second end, where the deformable outer wall is functionally graded from the first end to the second end to comply with an entrance of an ear canal of a user. In additional implementations, the eartip includes a retaining structure, and at least one of the inner wall or the outer wall of the body, or the retaining structure, has an integral electronic component and/or an electronic component signal trace.

In-ear wearable audio devices with functional grading and/or embedded electronics

A method of fabricating a wearable device having one or more integrated electronic components, including providing a substrate having an elastomeric material, at least one metal additive, and/or a carbon source additive; forming electrical circuitry within the elastomeric material by structuring one or more electrically conductive traces and plating the one or more electrically conductive traces; and providing the electrical circuitry with a sensor, wherein the sensor is configured to come in direct contact with skin of an individual.

Wearable devices with integrated circuitry

A headphone cushion includes a body formed of a partially reticulated polymeric foam and including a front surface configured to engage or surround an ear or head of a user, side surfaces, and a rear surface. The headphone cushion further includes a layer of high-density polymer material extending over at least a portion of the body.

Composite earcushion

An earphone cushion includes a body formed of a partially reticulated polymeric foam and including a front surface configured to engage or surround the ear of a user, and a rear surface, a snap ring at least partially embedded in and integrally formed with the body and including a periphery configured to engage one or more retention elements of an earcup of a headphone, and a non-porous film on the front surface of the body.

An induction cooking utensil is constructed such that it cooks food within its chamber while maintaining a relatively cool outer surface (e.g., preferably an outer surface that is cool enough to pick up with one's bare hands). The cooking utensil includes an inner wall that is made at least in part of an electrically conductive material and an outer wall that is made at least in part of the electrically non-conductive material. A reflective layer, a vacuum-sealed thermal insulator and/or a gas more resistant to conducting heat than air is disposed between the inner and outer walls to resist the transfer of heat from the inner wall to the outer wall.

Induction cookware

An induction cooking system with an induction heating system, a cooktop, and cool touch cookware that has a target layer that is heated by induction. An absolute cookware temperature is directly sensed at one or more locations of the cookware. A relative cookware temperature can be determined based on the value of an electrical variable of a circuit that includes the target layer. The cookware can include a layer of thermal insulation directly below and spaced from the target layer by a gap. The insulation and gap act as the major heat insulating elements to keep the outer surface of the cookware cool. The cooktop can be cooled by placing a cooling chamber just below the cooktop and drawing air through the cooling chamber. The induction coil can be located in the cooling chamber.

Induction cooking

Various aspects of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology are described. One specific application includes a seal for connecting an outer surface of a fuel cell to a cell manifold that supports the fuel cell and delivers a fuel mixture to an inside portion of the fuel cell. The seal also separates the fuel mixture from the outer surface at the seal. And the seal is electrically conductive to allow flow of electric current between the outer surface and the cell manifold.

Fuel cell stacking and sealing

Among other things, light that carries information about cooking is directed in a first direction towards a redirection element and, at the redirection element, the light is redirected to be visible to a person cooking.
