Foam dispensing systems and methods are disclosed. Such systems and methods may include a foamed material dispenser, a dynamic mixer having a gas input, a process material input, and a foamed material output. The foamed material output may be in fluid communication with the foamed material dispenser. A pump having an output may be in fluid communication with the process material input of the dynamic mixer, and a gas injection valve may be in fluid communication with the gas input of the dynamic mixer. A gas pressure regulator may be coupled between the pressurized gas supply and the gas injection valve, and a gas injection cycle timer may be operatively connected to the gas injection valve, the gas injection cycle timer causing the gas injection valve to pulse open and closed to send pulses of pressurized gas into the dynamic mixer through the gas input.

Foam mixing system and methods

A resilient gasket seals a connection between a wallplate rim and a wall, and is formed in situ by locating an insert on the backside of the wallplate inside of the rim and then introducing a flowable gasket material therebetween. The insert serves as a temporary dam during the in situ formation of the resilient gasket and is adapted to be removed from the wallplate prior to mounting to the wall. The insert extends above the wallplate rim, thereby protecting the resilient gasket during shipping, and also enabling vertical stacking of the wallplates prior to curing of the flowable gasket material. Use of this insert reduces the manufacturing time and labor costs in forming such wallplates.

Method and apparatus for in situ forming of a wall plate gasket

A method and apparatus for applying hot melt adhesive to the parting surfaces of sections of a foam pattern employed in the lost foam metal casting process includes an adhesive applicator operable to dispense a layer of adhesive in a desired pattern onto a transfer surface. The parting surface of a section of a foam pattern is then brought into engagement with the transfer surface so that at least a portion of the adhesive adheres to the parting surface for assembly with a mating section of the foam pattern. The adhesive remaining on the transfer surface after engagement with the parting surface is scraped off and a new layer of adhesive applied in preparation for another section of the foam pattern.

Apparatus for adhesive transfer

A lance extension venturi sleeve is disposed preferably within the rear one-third of the lance extension of a powder spray gun. The sleeve increases the velocity of the powder stream and provides an abrupt opening to the larger lance extension tube. The velocity increase and the turbulence so created increase the homogeneity of the powder in the stream and produce a more uniform powder spray pattern or powder 'cloud' for even powder coating of articles to be coated.
