There is disclosed a system and method for laser cutting of human allograft tissue. One embodiment includes a laser canister having a housing fabricated with a sterilizable material. The housing defines an interior portion, an exterior portion, and a selectively operable opening into the interior portion. The selectively operable opening includes a hermetic seal to maintain a sterile environment from the exterior portion when the selectively operable opening is closed. The canister includes an infrared (IR) transmissive optical window disposed in the housing and configured to allow a laser beam to penetrate therethrough to the interior portion. The canister also includes an insert within the interior portion configured to support human allograft tissue in a sterile environment, the insert being removable from the housing to move the human allograft tissue into another sterile environment after the housing has been exposed to a non-sterile environment. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

There is disclosed a constant force compression tool for measuring a compressible material. In an embodiment, the tool includes a handle having a passageway receiving a plunger. The tool includes a biasing member in communication with the plunger and the handle. The tool includes a retaining element in communication with the plunger and the handle. There is disclosed a system for measuring a compressible material with a measurement tube and a constant force compression tool. There is disclosed a method of measuring a compressible material. In an embodiment, the method includes selecting a measurement tube. The method includes placing a compressible material into the measurement tube. The method includes pressing a plunger against the compressible material. The method includes monitoring an indicator to determine a full volume of compressible material between the end of the plunger and the conical tube. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

There are disclosed systems and methods of delivering sterile fluids aseptically to a sealed canister. In an embodiment, a includes a canister having an inlet, a vent, and a drain outlet, a reagent manifold in communication with the inlet, a bubbler in communication with the vent, and a fluid communicator from the drain outlet. In another embodiment, a method includes providing a canister having an inlet, a vent, and a drain outlet; selectively providing reagents to the canister from a reagent manifold in communication with the inlet, allowing excess gasses to leave the canister with a bubbler in communication with the vent, and selectively purging the reagents from the canister through the drain outlet. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
