Disclosed are systems and method that generally relate to the capture of wind energy by small wind turbines mounted on buildings with gabled roofs. Wind energy harnessing system for gabled roof buildings having a roof ridge including a low silhouette visually appealing enclosure mounted along the roof ridge of a building and extending down both sides of the roof forming the ridge. The enclosure includes airflow guides defined by columns extending down a length of both sides of the building roof forming sidewalk and a roof formed of pivoting louvers above the columns. A paddle-wheel type wind turbine consists of a multiple-bladed cylindrical shaft that contacts the wind and provides rotational work mounted within the enclosure and a generator connected to the wind turbine for converting the rotational work from the wind turbine to electrical energy. The enclosure for the wind turbine functions to capture wind and directs the airflow via the airflow guides before it reaches the ridge.

Roof ridge wind turbine

A fuel additive includes 50 wt. % to less than 75 wt. % cyclic dienes and/or cyclic trienes that thermally crack into only chain branching radicals and greater than 25 wt. % to 50 wt. % organo-nitrates and/or nitro-organics. The fuel additive is combined with fuel at a combined treat rate ranging from 1000 (wt.) ppm to 3000 (wt.) ppm.

Cyclic diene or cyclic triene-based diesel fuel additive

A fuel composition is provided that contains a major amount of a mixture of hydrocarbons in the gasoline boiling range and a minor amount of at least one p-alkoxy-N-alkyl aromatic amine and at least one dicyclopentadiene. Use of such additive compound in a combustion engine is also provided.

Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to the use of low concentration additives comprising a terpene and a cetane improver in diesel fuel to rapidly promote fuel atomization and air mixing in the combustion chamber and thereby increase the fuel efficiency and reduce harmful NOand particulate exhaust emissions.

Diesel fuel combustion enhancing additive

A lubricating oil composition useful for a diesel-powered engine is provided that reduces NOx emissions level produced from a diesel-powered engine. The lubricating oil comprises a base oil and at least one oil-dispersible source of HNCO such as isocyanates. A method of operating the diesel powered engine using the lubricating oil is also provided.
