A pack-off device, including a body having a first feedthrough and a second feedthrough formed therein. A projection extends from the body and is operatively arranged to engage a restriction of an adjacent structure. At least one seal element is arranged with the body for sealing the device against the adjacent structure when the projection is engaged with the restriction. A method of arranging and operating a completion system is also included.

Disclosed herein is a downhole retrieving tool. The tool includes, a tubular member with a deformable portion having a reduced internal dimension, and a swage member engagable with the reduced internal dimension such that movement of the swage member through the deformable portion radially increases the internal dimension and the outer surface of the deformable portion causing the deformable portion to move radially outwardly.

Disclosed herein is a disappearing ball seat. The disappearing ball seat includes, a tubular member having an inside dimension, and a restricted dimension  portion of the tubular member dimensioned to prevent passage of a tripping ball therethrough, the restricted dimension portion being reconfigurable to a dimension capable of passing the tripping ball therethrough.

Deformable ball seat and method

Systems and methods for positively closing off a section of wellbore and, thereby providing reservoir control. Systems and methods are described for selectively closing off a section of a wellbore to fluid communication. The wellbore completion section may then be reopened to fluid communication upon reconnection of the upper completion section to the lower completion section. Advantageously, the systems and methods of the present invention generally preclude fluid communication between the annulus of the upper completion section and the flowbore of the lower completion section until the lower completion section is closed off to fluid flow.

Interventionless reservoir control systems

A system and method for actuating a shut-off valve in a wellbore wherein the shut-off valve element can be positively closed before the pump is removed from the well. A hydraulic actuator component is operably associated with the shut-off valve to provide for selective isolation of the well by positive closing of the valve prior to removal of the pump and opening of the valve after replacement of a pump within the wellbore. The hydraulic actuator component has a balanced hydraulic design wherein the valve closure element may be moved toward an open or closed position by flow of hydraulic fluid through first and second hydraulic lines. When a repaired pump or replacement pump is placed into the well, the actuator is stabbed into a packer element to seat it. The hydraulic actuator assembly is then operated to open the shut-off valve, thereby reestablishing well operation.
