The present disclosure describes apparatuses and techniques for using an image-based monitoring and feedback system for three-dimensional printing. In some aspects, a camera captures images of objects being printed and an image-processing system compares the images with benchmark images to detect and correct differences between the object and the benchmark. The correction can be in real time or applied to subsequent printing. Other aspects include a calibration system that prints predefined test objects and compares them to benchmarks to ensure that the printer operating parameters are properly set. The comparison can be manually performed by a user or automated as a part of the image-processing system.

The present disclosure describes techniques for pre-association discovery. In some aspects a frame having information useful to identify a service provided by a wireless device is received, the service provided by the wireless device is identified based on the information of the frame and known service identification information, and the identified service is associated with the wireless device effective to enable use of the identified service.

Some of the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system comprising a memory configured to operate in one of a plurality of states; a phase locked loop (PLL) configured to (i) receive a first clock signal, and (ii) based on the first clock signal and a state at which the memory operates, selectively generate a second clock signal; and a clock selection module configured to, based on the state at which the memory operates, selectively provide one of (i) the first clock signal and (ii) the second clock signal to the memory.

In aspects of a configurable print server device, a print server device implements a print server manager that receives a print job request from a requesting device. When the print job request requires transcoding into a printer command set and/or printer language supported by a printer connected to the print server device, the print server manager transcodes the print job. The print server manager can download firmware for installation in a printer and download updated printer firmware from an update server over a network. The print server manager is configurable by executing a script with a script engine to manage print server operations of the print server device. Updated versions of scripts can be downloaded over a network from the update server.

Configurable printer server device

A method, system, and computer-readable storage medium are provided for compressing a packet of data sent across a wireless transmission path to reduce power consumption in a wireless input device. The wireless input device preferably includes a human interface device that sends a report that is of variable length and compressed by refraining from transmitting unused bytes of a packet containing the report. Certain byte fields can be swapped, such as a first scan code byte field with a modifier key byte. Also, any reserved bytes that are not used can be removed in order to convert a standard HID report format into the present compressed report format. By removing unused bytes and optimally swapping the more prevalently used byte into the first field while removing any reserved bytes, the compressed report reduces the amount of power consumed to transmit the compressed report, relative to a non-compressed and fixed-length report of conventional HID input devices. A report descriptor maintains the compresses format and provides that format, along with the compressed report, to the USB interface, for example, to recompile the standard report at the input port of, for example, a personal computer. The input device can be, for example, a keyboard and a pointing device. If a pointing device is used, the scroll wheel and button information can be combined into a single byte rather than utilizing two bytes as in conventional HID reports.
