A bladder syringe for a fluid delivery system includes a cylindrical body, a cap-bladder assembly, a plunger element disposed in the cylindrical body, and a mounting assembly to secure the cap-bladder assembly to the cylindrical body. The cylindrical body has a distal end and a proximal end and defines a throughbore. The cap-bladder assembly is adapted for connection to the distal end of the cylindrical body, and includes a cap body and a bladder. The cap body defines an interior cavity and a distal discharge conduit and is adapted to engage the distal end of the cylindrical body. A disc-shaped bladder is disposed within the interior cavity and typically includes a central membrane portion. The plunger element is disposed in the throughbore of the cylindrical body and is vented to enable evacuation of the space between the plunger element and the cap-bladder assembly in the cylindrical body.

Bladder syringe fluid delivery system

A syringe for a fluid delivery system includes a pressure jacket having a distal end, a proximal end, and a throughbore therebetween. The syringe further includes a rolling diaphragm having a proximal end with an end wall for engaging a plunger, a distal end received within the throughbore of the pressure jacket. A sidewall extends between the proximal end and the distal end of the rolling diaphragm along a longitudinal axis. At least a portion of one of the sidewall and the end wall has non-uniform thickness. At least a portion of the sidewall is flexible and rolls upon itself when acted upon by the plunger such that an outer surface of the sidewall at a folding region is folded in a radially inward direction as the plunger is advanced from the proximal end to the distal end of the rolling diaphragm.

Various other components for delivery systems including tubing management systems, primer caps, diffusion chambers, radiation shields and syringe shields, needle handles, and other devices and methods are also described. Specifically, needle handles having a needle handle body attachable to a portion of a needle, and one or more wings or fins which are grasped by a user are described. The needle handle may be separated from the needle after insertion of the needle into a subject, and/or may provide access to a portion of tubing extending from the needle.

Systems for connecting a conduit to an injection needle may include a sealing element positioned on a distal end of the conduit, a first cooperating connector positioned around the length of conduit proximal to the sealing element and a second cooperating connector. The first cooperating connector includes a first cooperating connection mechanism and the second cooperating connector includes a second cooperating connection mechanism having a passage therein. The first cooperating connection mechanism and the second cooperating connection mechanism are adapted to form a connection between the first cooperating connector and the second cooperating connector. The connection causes the compression of the sealing element. The injection needle has a lumen with a diameter flared outward to a larger diameter at a proximal end. The second cooperating connector has a mounting hole connected to the passage and a sleeve around the injection needle so that the sleeve and the injection needle are received within the mounting hole.

A depth stop device for use in connection with another device or apparatus (for example, a medical device) includes a stop member slidably positionable on the device, at least one abutment member in operative connection with the stop member to adjustably contact the device to lock the stop member in a desired position relative to the device or to free the stop member to slide relative to the device, and an adjustment member connected to the abutment member to control a position of the abutment member relative to the device. The force applicable by the abutment member to the device is limited to be less than a certain force.

Depth stop devices and systems

A coupling having, among other things, a body including a valve movable from a first position to a second position. The valve has an oxygen passageway in communication with a first inlet for a flow of oxygen to the oxygen passageway when the valve is in the first position. The valve has a second inlet for a flow of oxygen to the oxygen passageway when the valve is in the second position.
