A modular dispensing device for mixing and dispensing reactive components includes a body, a triggering device, a dispensing cartridge, a control device, and a modular mixing assembly. The modular mixing assembly includes a primary central body shaped to accept the dispensing cartridge, the primary central body having a pair of opposed primary central body passages, two modular valve blocks to channel flow of a fluid from external sources to one of the primary central body passages, a secondary central body assembly attached to a downstream end of the primary central body, and a modular tip adapter mounted to the secondary central body and surrounding a tip of the dispensing cartridge and having an adapter passage for the flow of fluid to mix with fluid exiting the dispensing cartridge tip.

Modular mixing assembly and dispensing device

An inline liquid flow control valve includes an intake fitting member with a bottom portion having a bottom portion threaded section and a liquid flow section having apertures. The valve further includes an outlet fitting member with a top portion having a liquid outlet section with apertures. A top portion threaded section of the outlet fitting member engages a bottom portion threaded section of the intake fitting member with a compression member disposed therebetween. The compression member engaging a piston disposed internally within the intake fitting member. The apertures in the intake fitting member, apertures in the piston, an annular sleeve and the plurality of apertures in the outlet fitting member define a liquid flow chamber. A flow rate of liquid through the liquid flow chamber is inlinely adjustable and maintainable using an internally disposed compression member.

Inline liquid flow control valve

This embodiment relates generally to a foam dispensing system, and more particularly to an automated monitoring and diagnostic system for use with foam dispensing systems that permits remote control of the dispensing of foam. A control console is provided that is interconnected, preferably by way of a high-speed data link, with a foam dispenser, the A and B foam component pumps, a power source and controller, and a gateway. The console preferably includes a plurality of individual control circuits, typically disposed within one or more integrated circuits. The console may instead, or additionally, include software to perform some or all of the data exchange functions. The control circuits and/or software are preferably disposed within modules that are mounted to various components of the system. The modules may include one or more sensors operatively connected to the controller that monitor and record operational parameters. The system can optionally incorporate a wide-area network and multiple local-area networks, wherein each local-area network is dedicated to a single foam-dispensing unit and includes a main console and gateway associated therewith.

Automated system for control and diagnostics for dispensing systems

A solventless, flushless hand held impingement mixing and dispensing gun for dispensing controlled quantities of a controlled thermal insulation grade reactive chemical foam composition is provided. The dispenser gun preferably includes a unitary socket member mounted to the gun body having a receptacle portion for receiving an extended service life impingement mixing and dispensing module. A converter subassembly is provided to convert variable pressure and flow rate streams of the chemical components into regulated controlled pressure metered flow rate chemical component flows for introduction to the opposed sides of the impingement mixing dispenser gun. In accordance with the invention, the controlled pressure, metered flow rate streams of components are gradually repressurized prior to entering side orifices leading to the impingement mixing chamber of the dispenser module to provide balanced pressure approach needed to consistently and reproducibly provide high quality thermal insulation grade foams of known composition and physical properties. The extended service life dispenser module includes a valving assembly employing a valving rod of hardened tool steel and scraper members to effectively reduce or eliminate foam build up induced module failures. In the preferred embodiment, high powered, double acting multi-piston air cylinder activator for controlling movements of the valving rod and an air purge foam propulsion delivery system are also provided.

Thermal insulation grade foam dispensing system

A new and improved foam dispenser gun comprises in combination a gun body, a mountable dispenser moldule and an air cylinder actuator assembly. The dispenser module includes a dispenser housing and a valving insert received therein having a stepped outer configuration. The insert includes a forward minor diameter portion having a diametrical dimension slightly less than that of the housing passageway. The rearward major diameter portion of the insert is designed for press-fit engagement in the housing passageway. The clearance provided between the forward end of the housing passageway and the forward minor diameter portion of the insert, in accordance with the present invention, permits relaxation of the insert member in a controlled manner in use which reduces or eliminates the buildup of residual stresses on the insert member which are believed to be responsible for cold flow deformations of the insert. A reduction in cold flow deformation of the insert provided by the simplified structure of the dispenser module of the invention leads to a prolonged use life for the cartridges.
