A No. 5 mine roof bolt formed from the steel alloy has a minimum yield strength of 90,000 psi. A mine roof bolt having a cross-sectional diameter of 7/8 inch or 1 inch and formed from the steel alloy has a minimum yield strength of 100,000 psi.
