The invention described herein enables a variety of heating, cooling, energy transformation, and energy storage options with a small number or components. Described are Pressure Swing Adsorption and Pressure Swing Desorption cycles, processes, and apparatuses including multiple sorption beds and active energy input by a pump and energy storage as pressure differentials. A preferred embodiment includes two zeolite 13X sorption beds, CO2 adsorbate, solenoid valves, and a compressor pump. In operation these components provide a range of heating, cooling, and energy storage options. Operational cycles are described.

Pressure swing adsorption / desorption heating, cooling, and energy storage process and apparatus

The invention described herein represents a significant advancement in systems that enable a user to control systems and input data into a very wide range of systems. User interface devices that comprise an array of input devices such as buttons on a remote control, keys on a computer keyboard, touch screens, and a computer mouse. Such devices comprise an array of contacts that can be used to capture a user's inputs and communicate them wirelessly using passive RFID apparatuses and processes. Contacts can be positioned in physical proximity to graphics or alphanumeric characters and this proximity can be stored in memory such that a user altering a specific contact status represents specific data to a controlled system or memory. Also, the sequence or change or direction of changes in contacts can be used to control systems or processes in predetermined ways. Remote controls, computer keyboards, a computer mouse, touch screens and pads created with the present contact array invention need not use complex circuits and do not require batteries to operate wirelessly.

The invention described herein represents a significant improvement in the efficiency of heating and cooling processes for applications such as buildings. The working fluid condensation process is time separated from the working fluid vaporization process. Work on the working fluid through a phase transformation is performed at a first time and the heating or cooling of a building through a reverse phase transformation is done at a second time. A storage medium is provided to store the capacity to heat or the capacity to cool in the form of the phase transformed working fluid stored at a positive or a negative pressure. Controlling logic calculates what the heating and cooling load will be in the future and when least expensive and most efficient operating times are forecasted to be. The compression or vacuum energy input phase of operation is be performed during the most optimal window as seldom as once per week while the application heating or cooling process is performed continuously as needed.

High efficiency heat pump with phase changed energy storage

The invention described herein represents a significant advancement in user configurable and reconfigurable RFID readable data input. A writing substrate includes a wireless energy transmission circuit and a plurality of switchable contacts. When or after a user writes on the substrate, it can be sense remotely to produce a map of the writing which provides input a character recognition process. Thus a user can write anything they wish to create data and control processes on a cheap, disposable user interface.

Configurable RFID apparatus and process

The invention described herein represents a significant advancement in systems that enable a user to control systems and input data into a very wide range of systems. RFID transponder arrays for sensing input and controlling processes

The invention described herein represents a significant improvement for the concealment of objects and people. Thousands of light receiving segmented pixels and sending segmented pixels are affixed to the surface of the object to be concealed. Each receiving segmented pixel receives colored light from the background of the object. Each receiving segmented pixel has a lens such that the light incident upon it is segmented to form focal points along a focal curve (or plane) according to the light's incident trajectory. In a first embodiment, this incident light is channeled by fiber optics to the side of the object which is opposite to each respective incident light segment. The light which was incident on a first side of the object traveling at a series of respective trajectories is thus redirected and exits on at least one second side of the object according to its original incident trajectory. In this manor, incident light is redirected as exiting light that mimics the incident light's trajectory, wavelength, color, and intensity such that an observer can 'see through' the object to the object's background. In a second embodiment, this incident light is segmented according to trajectory, and detected electronically by photo diodes. It is then electronically reproduced on at least one second side of the object by arrayed LEDs. In this manor, incident light is reproduced as exiting light which mimics trajectory, wavelength, color, and intensity such that an observer can 'see through' the object to the background. In both embodiments, this process is repeated many times, in segmented pixel arrays, such that an observer looking at the object from any perspective actually &#x201c;sees the background&#x201d; of the object corresponding to the observer's perspective. The object having thus been rendered &#x201c;invisible&#x201d; to the observer.

Optic array for three-dimensional multi-perspective low observable signature control

In the lens embodiment, the invention described herein incorporates a first fluid with a first refractive index in a first series of concentric surfaces and a second fluid with a second refractive index in a second series of concentric surfaces. The two surfaces being adjacent to one another alternating between a concentric circle of the first then a concentric circle of the second then the first and etc. Wherein each circular surface in the series of first and second fluid surfaces are separated by a transparent barrier with elasticity. Additionally, fluid can be added or subtracted to each concentric circle as desired through ports in their otherwise sealed chambers. The structure and process described produces a refractive and/or diffractive optical component which is predictably and reliably variable as to its focal length and transmittance direction. In the mirror embodiment, a the membrane is coated with a reflective material and is operated to form variable angles and curves and correspondingly variable focal lengths.

Variable Fresnel type structures and process

The present invention divides the traditional fill-loop heat pump compression (heating) and expansion (refrigeration) process into two separate half-loop processes. The two (half-loop) processes occur separately and are separated by physical distance and/or by time. The two processes are connected by either physical storage means and/or by pipeline means such that low pressure refrigerant and high pressure refrigerant are stored between cycles and/or transported between cycles. In operation, a refrigerant is compressed to provide heat to a location, the compressed refrigerant is then stored/transported to where/when a cooling process is needed whereupon the refrigerant is expanded to provide refrigeration, the expanded refrigerant is then stored/transported to where/when a heating process is needed. The result of this invention is a significant reduction in energy required to heat and cool buildings, a reduction in fossil fuel consumption (and concomitant carbon dioxide gas emission pollution), a reduction in thermal pollution (and concomitant global warming), and a reduction in the cost of heating and cooling buildings.

Deep cycle heating and cooling apparatus and process

The invention described herein represents a significant improvement for the telescope hobbyist. It provides a remote eyepiece system that enables a user to optically view objects through a telescope while sitting in the comfort of their living room sofa. This is achieved when the user has the present remote wearable mobile eyepiece. An electromagnetic beacon signal communicates the position of the user's eyepiece, software calculates location and how trajectory is needed to send the object light to the user's location, and software instructs micro stepping servomotors to correctly position mirrors accordingly. The components enable the system to track the physical location of the user's eyepiece and to optically direct the light for the object to the user's viewing eyepiece apparatus.

The object of the prevent invention is to provide an optical system for producing variable refraction with minimized dispersion. A first material with a first apex angle in a first state and a second material with a second apex angle in a first state produce a first net refraction angle in at least two frequencies of electromagnetic radiation such that the beams that entered parallel exit parallel (to within a controllable tolerance). Said first material with said first apex angle in a second state and said second material with said second apex angle in a second state produce a second net refraction angle in at least two frequencies of electromagnetic radiation such that the beams that entered parallel exit parallel (to within a controllable tolerance).

Electro-optic apparatus and process for multi-frequency variable refraction with minimized dispersion

The variable view window enables a user to change the views possible through a window from a given perspective point. One embodiment includes two variable prisms, temperature regulating element, insulating layer, mounting structures, actuator, and software. Objectives of this new art are to maximize refraction, control dipersion, and minimize physical motion.
