Embodiments of the disclosure provide cooling systems and cooling methods for isolating temperature fluctuation in an electronics enclosure. Embodiments of the disclosure provide effective cooling of high power temperature fluctuating components and a stable reference temperature for temperature sensitive components included in a single electronics enclosure. A disclosed multiple path cooling system includes a first path for cooling power variable components and a second path to maintain stable temperature cooling for temperature sensitive components.

A system, an article of manufacture, and a method are disclosed. The system includes a set of components in an enclosure. The set of components includes electronic devices and airflow moving components configured to maintain airflow across the electronic devices from a front plenum of the enclosure to a rear plenum of the enclosure and direct air from the rear plenum through the first heat exchanger. The set of components also includes a first heat exchanger configured to circulate a cooling liquid and a second heat exchanger configured to maintain a constant temperature of the cooling liquid, wherein the constant temperature is a temperature of the cooling liquid within a threshold distance from a selected temperature.

A memory module determines that the memory module is connected to a memory module connector. The memory module receives the connector ID from the connector and communicates, to the connector, a memory module ID associated with the memory module. A connector-module ID token is generated using the connector ID and the memory module ID. It is determined that the connector-module ID token was not received from the connector within a predetermined time window. Data on the memory module is erased in response to not receiving the connector-module ID.

A memory module contains a set of contacts configured to contact a second set of contacts on a memory module connector when the memory module is removed from the connector. The contacts on the connector can be activated. The memory module is configured to erase data on the memory module in response to the set of contacts on the memory module contacting the set of contacts on the connector when the set of contacts on the connector is activated.

A system includes an equipment case configured to hold equipment, a strengthening bracket, and one or more releasable couplers physically coupled to the equipment case and the strengthening bracket. The releasable couplers may be configured to release the strengthening bracket from the equipment case without requiring a tool. In some embodiments, the strengthening bracket comprises a first end and a second end, and one of the releasable couplers are coupled to each end of the strengthening bracket. In some embodiments, the releasable couplers each comprise a flexing member and a protrusion member coupled to the flexing member and the first end and the second end of the strengthening bracket each comprise a slot for receiving the protrusion member of a corresponding coupling member. A corresponding method includes coupling the strengthening bracket to the equipment case with the at least one releasable coupler.

A printed circuit board capable of receiving an on-board battery from multiple orientations is disclosed. The movement of the on-board battery on the printed circuit board is directed via one or more guide tabs on the on-board battery that fit within one or more guide rails attached to the printed circuit board. A cam lever is attached to the on-board battery and enables a user to utilize mechanical advantage to install and/or remove the on-board battery on the printed circuit board. A pull tab attached to the on-board battery provides additional surface area to distribute the force when a user removes the on-board battery. The on-board battery can be installed and/or removed orthogonally and/or horizontally to the printed circuit board during the operation of the printed circuit board.

A cable connector retaining system includes a cable connector retaining assembly having a connector block and a movable retention block with a connector retention fastener, e.g., a threaded fastener. The system also includes a plate having a connector mounted thereon and a connector retention feature, e.g., a threaded hole, positioned adjacent to the connector. The connector block has a connector housed in an overmold jacket and connectable to the plate's connector. The connectors may be USB-type connectors, for example. The retention block is movably mounted to the connector block's overmold jacket so that the retention block's connector retention fastener may be aligned with the plate's connector retention feature. Once aligned, the connector retention fastener may be engaged with the connection retention feature. Movement of the retention block allows a single cable connector retaining assembly to be used for multiple plate configurations (i.e., with the connector retention feature at different positions).

A connector coupling mechanism comprises a housing coupled to a first connector; and, a force applying device connected to the housing and being movable between docking and undocking positions; wherein in response to the force applying device moving to the docking position, a mechanical advantage is provided for facilitating a firm coupling of the first and second connector assemblies. In addition, the force applying device provides a mechanical advantage in response to the force applying device moving to undocking position for facilitating easy unplugging. The coupling mechanism provides a latching arrangement for releasable and positive retention of the force applying device in the docked position for preventing against inadvertent unplugging. A connector assembly coupling system is provided as well as a method of coupling connector assemblies.

Connector coupling mechanism, system and method

An assembly and associated installation method for a server or other electronic equipment enclosure installable into a rack by a single person without adverse tolerance stack-up problems. A mounting bracket is attached to each end of a sliding rail coupled to the server or other equipment enclosure. The mounting bracket includes pins which are inserted into mounting apertures in the posts of the rack to temporarily retain and hold the sliding rail in the rack. Subsequently, a single user can then insert screws or other mechanical fasteners to securely attach the mounting bracket and sliding rail coupled thereto to the rack. The mounting bracket is fixedly secured to the rack and the sliding rail is permitted to move, translate or pivot relative to the mounting bracket to account for tolerance stack-up issues or other abnormalities in the dimensional fit between the server and rack system. The design of the mounting bracket inhibits appreciable vertical translation of the sliding rail thereby providing for proper clearance for the rack space below.
