A system for generating a three dimension (3D) imaging of an object, the system comprising: an electromagnetic transducer array such as an RF (radio-frequency) antenna array surrounding the object said array comprising: a plurality of electromagnetic transducers; a transmitter unit for applying RF signals to said electromagnetic transducer array; and a receiver unit for receiving a plurality of RF signals affected by said object from said electromagnetic transducers array; a Radio Frequency Signals Measurement Unit (RFSMU) configured to receive and measure said plurality of plurality of affected RF signals and provide RF data of the object; and at least one processing unit, configured to process said RF data to identify the dielectric properties of said object and construct a 3D image of said object.

A measurement device is disclosed, having a receiver/transmitter with extended instantaneous dynamic range. The receiver/transmitter includes at least one input port, which is configured to receive signals; a primary receiver/transmitter coupled to the input/output port via a primary path; and a plurality of auxiliary receivers/transmitters. A microwave imaging sensor is disclosed for continuously monitoring the condition and status of an in situ reverse osmosis membrane that forms a semi-permeable barrier between a region of water containing a dissolved salt and a region of water which is intended to be substantially free of the dissolved salt. A device according to embodiments of the invention can be used to monitor the condition of the membrane, i.e., the ability of the membrane to filter water by reverse osmosis; and to detect failures in the membrane such as leaking saline water into the output stream. The results of the monitoring can be used to determine in real time whether or not the membrane should be replaced.

Apparatus for monitoring reverse osmosis membrane condition

A method and apparatus for enhanced microwave imaging of an object collects microwave responses for multiple combinations of transmit antennas, receive antennas, and object movement states. The responses are grouped into sets of responses corresponding to at least two object movement states. An image is reconstructed from the set of responses for each movement state, and a differential image representative of object movement is generated from the reconstructed image for each of the at least two object movement states. The differential image is overlaid on a reconstructed image to obtain an enhanced composite image of the object.
