A seat row including a plurality of seats supported by a seat frame. Each seat includes a seat pan, a backrest, and a backrest frame positioned in surrounding relation to the backrest. The backrest frame reclines with the backrest and deploys away from the backrest to a position overlaying the seat pan to provide a substantially horizontal surface for overlaying a mattress on the deployed backrest frames. In embodiments, the mattress stows in a folded condition in one of the seats and is retrieved from, fills, and expands to cover the deployed backrest frames to form a flat bed. In some embodiments, the seat row provides a provision for sleeping in an economy class cabin of an airliner.

Converting economy seat to full flat bed by dropping seat back frame

The present disclosure provides a tray table assembly including a pouch configured to temporarily stow travel essentials during flight. The pouch is removably attached to the back of the tray table by way of a plurality of removable fasteners. The pouch includes inner and outer layers forming an interior space therebetween accessible through a top opening that may be zippered or otherwise closeable. In some embodiments, the pouch is constructed from soft material such as neoprene rubber, and at least the outer layer is made from mesh or translucent material such that the contents are visible to the passenger, so they are not forgotten and left behind.

An economy aircraft seat includes a telescopically extensible seat pan frame. Multiple telescoping sections extend forward with stops to prevent overextension. A forward edge of the extensible seat pan frame includes clips to affix the extensible seat pan frame to a neighboring passenger seat frame. The extensible seat pan frame includes supports that transversely span the extensible seat pan frame.

Economy seat to full bed

A passenger seat including a sleep support system attached to a backrest of the seat and including first and second support arms pivotally attached to respective first and second sides of the backrest configured to deploy forward. A pillow assembly attaches to the deployed first and second support arms and a tubular cover is positioned surrounding at least a portion of the pillow assembly. In use, a seated passenger deploys the arms forward, attaches the covered pillow assembly, and leans forward against the pillow to assume a comfortable sleeping position.

Deployable sleep support system for seated passengers

A row of passenger seats convertible to a bed. The row includes a frame assembly supporting a plurality of laterally adjacent passenger seats. In embodiments, each seat includes a backrest having a first portion and a second portion movable relative to the first portion, a seat pan movable between a first position for seating and a second position for sleeping, and at least one link connecting the second portion of the backrest to the seat pan such that the second portion of the backrest tracks with the seat pan. In use, the second portion of the backrest resides in a plane of the backrest when the seat pan is in the first position, and resides in a plane of the seat pan when the seat pan is in the second position. In embodiments, the row provides a provision for sleeping in an economy class cabin of an airliner when occupancy permits seat row conversion.

Row of passenger seats convertible to a bed

A passenger seating arrangement including contiguous rows configured to form a bed. Each passenger seat in the first row includes a deployable bed extension. In use, each deployed bed extension resides in a plane of a seat pan in an aft positioned row. At least one support deploys relative to its respective seat pan to support the deployed bed extension, for instance from below. In embodiments, a bifold cushion carried on the seat pan in the aft row unfolds to be positioned atop the deployed bed extension to form a bed. In embodiments, each of the contiguous rows includes at least three seats, wherein each seat is independently configured to form a portion of the bed.

A system includes a seat frame. The seat frame includes a fore beam and an aft beam. The system includes a pouch. The pouch includes: an opening; a top panel extending from the opening; an end panel abutting the top panel; a first side panel abutting the top panel and the end panel; a second side panel abutting the top panel and the end panel; a bottom panel abutting the first side panel, the second side panel, and the end panel; a curved panel extending from the opening toward the bottom panel and abutting the first side panel, the second side panel, and the bottom panel; a closeout flap extending from a top edge of the opening and abutting the top panel; aft straps attached to the top panel and secured around the aft beam; and fore straps attached to the top panel and secured around the fore beam.

A system to distribute air across a lavatory floor is disclosed herein. The system includes a dryer unit and at least one sensor in an aircraft lavatory coupled to a locking mechanism of the aircraft lavatory responsive to an action comprising an actuation of a slide switch to open the locking mechanism of a door of the aircraft lavatory wherein the dryer unit is electronically coupled to the at least one sensor. In response to a detection by at least one sensor of the actuation of the slide switch to open the locking mechanism of the door of the aircraft lavatory, the dryer unit is configured to receive a command from a processor communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor to cause the dryer unit to be activated.
