A sampler apparatus is disclosed. The sampler apparatus comprises an impactor assembly comprising a nozzle plate, an impaction plate, and a filter unit. The nozzle plate comprises a plurality of nozzles for channelling an air stream through the sampler apparatus. The impaction plate is adapted to collect particulate matter having size equal to or greater than a threshold size. The filter unit is adapted to collect particulate matter having size less than or equal to the threshold size. The sampler apparatus further comprises a control assembly coupled with the impactor assembly. The control assembly comprises one or more flow control devices to maintain a predetermined air-flow rate of the air stream within the sampler apparatus.

Particulate matter sampler

The present invention describes a lithium-substituted magnesium ferrite material based hydroelectric cell and process for preparation thereof. A novel galvanic cell process of generating electric current in distilled water by lithium substituted magnesium ferrite hydroelectric cell has been developed. A synthesis process of ferrite pellet having zinc anode and silver inert electrode has been developed. The material splits water molecules and conducts ions within porous ferrite. Split ions electrochemically react with electrodes and form zinc hydroxide at anode and hydrogen gas at silver electrode. This hydroelectric cell has generated 5 mA short circuit current and 950 mV open cell voltage. Current increased to 20 mA by thermally deposited Zn electrode on a ferrite pellet. The cell is very economical and highly sensitive towards electrolysis of water molecules. It is a green source for producing energy and has a potential to excel from existing electrochemical batteries.

Lithium-substituted magnesium ferrite material based hydroelectric cell and process for preparation thereof

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a humidity sensor based on resistive type porous Magnesium Ferrite (MgFeO) pellets and a humidity sensor thereof. More particularly, the present invention includes a synthesis process of preparing 30 to 40% porous MgFeOpellets. The process further includes making Ohmic contacts on the porous MgFeOpellets. The process is very cost effective and optimized to keep the resistance of the porous MgFeOpellets in the range 200-300 M&#x3a9;. Further, the response and recovery time of the porous MgFeOpellets to humidity is in the range of few seconds only. Further, the porous MgFeOpellets can be used for humidity sensing for more than 12 months. Due to resistance stability even after long-term exposure in humidity, the porous MgFeOpellets do not require flash heating. Further, the humidity sensor prepared according to the process is highly sensitive towards relative humidity changes as the same is based on the measurement of resistance changes as compared to known humidity sensors which are based on the measurement of capacitance changes.

The present invention provides a conducting copolymer ferromagnetic composite. Particularly, the present invention relates to a conducting copolymer of aniline and ethylene-dioxy thiophene containing ferrite particles. The present invention also provides insitu polymerization of aniline and ethylene-dioxy thiophene in the presence of ferrite particles and suitable surfactant medium. This conducting copolymer ferromagnetic composite can be used for the dissipation of electrostatic charge, for the shielding of electromagnetic interference and as absorbing of electromagnetic waves in the microwave region.
