A system includes a virtual reality system configured to enable a user to interact with a virtual environment, a plurality of biofeedback sensors configured to monitor a user, and a computer system including a virtual reality module configured to generate at least a view of the virtual environment, a biofeedback module configured to fuse output of the plurality of biofeedback sensors with a plurality of events within the virtual environment, a training module configured to generate a model of user behavior, wherein the training module executed by the computer system enables the computer system to make a prediction of a user response of the user based on a corpus of biofeedback data, and an alert module configured to generate at least one alert to the user via the virtual reality system based on the user response predicted by the computer system.

A method, computer program product and computer system for recovering from a likely exit condition in an electronic conversation with a user and interactive agent is provided. A processor retrieves one or more messages from a conversation between a user and an interactive agent. A processor determines at least one label for the one or more messages between a user and an interactive agent. A processor compares the at least one label for the one or more messages to a sequence model. A processor identifies the one or more messages from the conversation indicate an exit condition for the user based on the comparison of the at least one label for the one or more messages to the sequence model. A processor sends a recovery message to the user to redirect the conversation.

A method for authenticating a user is presented. Responsive to a request for access to a computer resource, a computer system prompts the user making the request to access the computer resource to perform a new motion in an environment in which the user is monitored by a sensor system. Detected biometric data in the new motion performed by the user is identified by the computer system. A determination is made as to whether the user performing the new motion is an authenticated user based on comparing the detected biometric data with stored biometric data for a prior motion performed by the authenticated user. The computer system provides access to the computer resource when the user is identified as the authenticated user.

The processor(s) generate a component numeric rating value (CNRV) for each of the multiple n-grams, where the CNRV is based on an analysis of each of the multiple n-grams. The processor(s) identify a deficient component of the product. The processor(s) identify a cause of the deficiency in the deficient component and identify a replacement component that does not cause the deficiency in the deficient component. The processor(s) direct a manufacturing device that manufactures the product to replace the deficient component with the replacement component.

A virtual reality (VR) system for VR desk application that allows a user to move in a VR environment while sitting in front of a working desk is provided. The VR system receives sensor data from a mobile device. The VR system generates a set of sitting motion data by interpreting the received sensor data as a motion of a limb of a person in a sitting posture. The VR system maps the set of sitting motion data into a set of movements in the VR environment. The VR system renders the VR environment and presents the rendered VR environment.

Locomotion in virtual reality desk applications

A system and method to perform incremental adaptive modification of a virtual reality image involve obtaining sensor measurements from sensors coupled to an individual who is performing a task while viewing the virtual reality image. The method includes generating a true model of the individual from the sensor measurements, comparing the true model with an expert model obtained from another individual performing the task, and developing a lesson plan based on determining a difference between the true model and the expert model. The developing the lesson plan includes determining a gradient of intermediate models within the difference. A different one of the intermediate models is included iteratively along the gradient from the true model to the expert model in the virtual reality image.

Incremental adaptive modification of virtual reality image

Augmented reality speed reading is provided by detecting a reader's changing gaze direction; detecting movements of the reader's eye; and between movements of the reader's eye, displaying text at the reader's gaze direction. An exemplary apparatus includes an eye illuminator that delivers light to a reader's eye; an eyeward camera that generates digital images of the reader's eye including reflected light from the eye illuminator; a display; and a processor that is connected in communication with the eyeward camera and the display. The processor implements an eye tracking module that receives the digital images from the eyeward camera and detects the reader's gaze direction, and the processor implements a text display module that controls the display to present text at the reader's gaze direction.
