Systems and devices for regulation of self-management of a medication schedule are provided. A system can include a pill dispenser cap, a plurality of insulating layers; a near field communication (NFC) tag, and a pill dispenser. The system can further include a graphical user interface (GUI), and first and second mobile devices each having a display unit, a sensor, a processor, and a computer readable medium.

NFC tag reader for patient medication monitoring

Apparatus includes at least one of inflatable blood pressure cuffs for encircling a proximal, a distal, and an intermediate portion of a limb. Electrical signals from a pressure transducer on the cuff and from skin contact electrodes on the cuff are generated during pulses from the heart or from externally generated cuff pulses. A signal processing mechanism generates numerical values that are relevant to conditions that may contribute to cardiac malfunction.

Pulsatile measurement of cardiac malfunction conditions

An apparatus and method for measuring the blood glucose level of a diabetic using insulin is noninvasive. The apparatus includes two plethysmographs that sense the blood in two fingers simultaneously. The electrodes in the plethysmographs are immersed in conductive liquids. One liquid has electric conductivity equal to blood. The other liquid is more conductive than blood. Signals from the fingers are compared to signals obtained earlier when glucose levels were known from conventional measurements. An alternative embodiment employs a single plethysmograph with one set of electrodes in a surrounding chamber and a second set of electrodes against the skin surface.

Noninvasive glucose measurement

A large bit width multiplier with multiple copies of a core small bit width multiplier and ROM cells. The present invention provides a power system that trades off processing speed against power dissipation. The present invention reduces power dissipation to about half of the best industry implementation at about half the speed. Its power dissipation is 10% of another industry standard implementation at 1.5 times the speed. The present invention has a gate count that is about twice the gate count for these implementations.

Dynamically reconfigurable power-aware, highly scaleable multiplier with reusable and locally optimized structures

A high speed scalable multiplier. The high speed scalable multiplier can include a folding multiplier configured to fold multiplicands and multipliers where individual ones of the multiplicands and multipliers exceed a folding threshold. The folding multiplier also can compute a product of the multiplicands and multipliers based on less than all bits forming the multiplicands and multipliers. The high speed scalable multiplier also can include a conventional multiplier and at least one additional folding multiplier, each of the multipliers being individually, selectably activatable.

High speed scaleable multiplier

The present invention relates to a method for detecting the onset of atherosclerosis and for detecting the degree of atherosclerosis. Accordingly, one aspect of the present invention correlates data obtained from arteries having a measured amount of stenosis with actual arterial data (blood volume change vs. cuff pressure) obtained from a patient which is converted into data relating to the patient's arterial peak compliance. Another aspect of the present invention detects the onset and the degree of atherosclerosis by classifying the shape of a curve obtained by relating arterial blood volume change with cuff pressure. Two devices can be used, an electrical impedance plethysmograph and a volume plethysmograph.
