In some examples, systems, methods, and devices are described that generate contextual suggestions for patients. Generation of the contextual suggestions is triggered by certain events performed by a medical professional with respect to a patient (e.g., updating a patient record). The contextual suggestions are related to addressing health conditions of the patient and represent tasks or considerations which the medical professional should be made aware. The contextual suggestions are generated in a way that is considerate of patient context, medical professional context, and contexts of similar patients. The contextual suggestions can be presented to the medical professional for selection and execution.

Contextual assessment of current conditions

Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are provided to facilitate controllable parameter modification of system components based on monitoring indicators of a caliber of process performance. A set of cases is identified from amongst the plurality of cases, the set of cases having similar temporal identifiers and a same type of process performance. A population check-point statistic is generated based on the check-point indicators identified in the set of cases. A first result that indicates whether a first criterion is met is determined based on the population check-point statistic. A second result that indicates whether a second criterion is met is determined based on a check-point indicator. When the first criterion or the second criterion is not met, one or more transmissions are to alert a remote device and to facilitate causing a system component to make a change to a controllable parameter to influence a corresponding check-point.

Intermediate check points and controllable parameters for addressing process deficiencies

A quality of medical care can be estimated based on factors such as a mortality rate or complications rate. However, by this point, poor care may have already reached its consequence. In some embodiments, characteristics pertaining to a care experience are analyzed to identify those predictive of a health result. The identified characteristics may include ones that depend on care factors, such that they are not, alone, easy to manipulate. Those characteristics can then be monitored, and unsatisfactory characteristics can be addressed.

Intermediate check points in medical care lines for automatically identifying care deficiencies

A method for differentiating malignant in vivo liver tissues from normal in vivo liver tissues of a living subject includes the steps of: (a) illuminating a first area and a second area of in vivo liver tissues of the living subject with a first excitation light, (b) measuring an intensity of fluorescent light emitted from each of the first area and the second area of in vivo liver tissues in response to the first excitation light as a function of wavelength so as to obtain a first and a second fluorescent spectra, respectively, (c) illuminating the first area and the second area of in vivo liver tissues with a second excitation light, (d) measuring an intensity of diffuse light reflected by each of the first area and the second area of in vivo liver tissues in response to the second excitation light as a function of wavelength so as to obtain a first and a second diffused reflectance spectra, respectively, and (e) identifying one of the first area and the second area of in vivo liver tissues as malignant liver tissues and the other one of the first area and the second area of in vivo liver tissues as normal liver tissues, by comparing the first fluorescence spectrum and the second florescence spectrum, and comparing the first diffused reflection spectrum and the second diffused reflection spectrum.
