Merging directory information from a user directory to a common directory includes based on a rule associated with contents of a user directory of a local database, extracting a department indicator from the user directory, mapping the department indicator to a corresponding user record in a common directory of a registry database, and based on the department indicator, marking the user record in the common directory with a department that corresponds to the contents from the user directory with a department for controlling access to that user record in the registry database.

A method, system and computer program product for discovering social network groups of interests to attendees of a group gathering. Voice imprints of attendees of a group gathering are received during a registration process. The received voice imprints are associated with the registered attendees. A voice stream that was captured in the group gathering is then translated to a list of utterances. Each utterance is then tagged with the attendee who made the utterance based on the voice imprints provided by the attendees during registration. The utterances are parsed and analyzed to identify concepts and keywords. An attendee to the group gathering may then be associated with a social network group (either preexisting or newly created) with a mapping to concepts and keywords that have a similarity to the identified concepts and keywords that meets or exceeds a threshold.

Identifying or creating social network groups of interest to attendees based on cognitive analysis of voice communications

Configuring of a communications environment is facilitated. A mapping tool is provided that aids in the configuring of various components of a communications environment, such as an input/output (I/O) subsystem of the environment. Data generated from an order process and a logical configuration definition are used as input to the mapping tool. The tool performs mapping and generates as output a physical configuration definition, and optionally, one or more reports. The mapping tool has a manual function, as well as an automatic function.
