A method and system for determining and resolving network issues impacting application performance in multi-domain networks is disclosed. The method includes obtaining at least one of health and performance data associated with an application and one or more alerts related to fault and/or performance issues associated with the application. The method further includes determining at least one of network faults and performance issues that influence at least one of fault and/or performance issues associated with the application. The method further includes determining one or more underlying network problems that impact performance of the application. The method further includes determining at least one appropriate resolution action to address the one or more underlying network problems, implementing the at least one appropriate resolution action; monitoring an effectiveness of the implementation of the at least one appropriate resolution action; and adapting at least one of rules, parameters, and thresholds.

System and method for effective determination and resolution of network issues impacting application performance in multi-domain networks

A method and system for maintenance of network slice templates for slice orchestration is disclosed. The method includes extracting a plurality of parameters from a template data within a template request message and determining at least one network slice template from a plurality of templates, based on comparison of the plurality of parameters with parameters associated with the plurality of templates. The method further includes receiving performance feedback for each of the at least one network slice template based on usage of the at least one network slice template and determining modifications required to be performed on the at least one network slice template, based on the performance feedback. The method includes adapting the at least one network slice template based on the determined modifications.

System and method of maintenance of network slice templates for slice orchestration

A technique is provided for adaptively performing service function chaining based on network context. The technique includes receiving a request comprising a flexible SFC template (FST) for provisioning an SFC of a plurality of service functions (SFs). A service function path (SFP) is determined responsive to receipt of data packets corresponding to a pre-defined flow to be transmitted over the network. Monitoring of a pre-defined plurality of parameters associated with the SFP and a network context is performed after implementing the SFP. Based on the monitoring of the pre-defined plurality of parameters and SFP modification criteria, a requirement for modifying the SFP is identified. Responsive to the identification, the SFP is modified and the performance of the modified SFP is monitored based on one or more of the plurality of parameters, a network context after modifying the SFP, and a pre-defined plurality of service performance thresholds.

Method and system for adaptive and context-aware service function chaining in communication networks

A method and system for template-based dynamic network slicing is disclosed. The method includes creating a service requirement set associated with a service request based on a plurality of characteristics of the service request. The method includes identifying a network slice template hierarchy based on the service requirement set and selecting one of reusing one of at least one of existing network slice instance and creating a new network slice instance. The method includes instantiating a service associated with the service request using one of the at least one of existing network slice instances and the new network slice instance. The method further includes monitoring the service and one of the at least one of existing network slice instances and the new network slice instance. The method includes performing adaptation of at least one thresholds and at least one factor.

Method and system of template-based dynamic network slicing

A method and system for optimizing SFPs associated with common service functions is disclosed. The method includes identifying at least one proposed modification to a target SFP. The method further includes determining at least one associated SFP impacted. The method includes determining at least one impact on each of the at least one associated SFP. The method includes optimizing the at least one impact on each of the at least one associated SFP to generate an optimized set of impacts. The method includes determining at least one action associated with each impact in the optimized set of impacts. The method includes optimizing the at least one action associated with each impact in the optimized set of impacts to generate an optimized set of actions. The method includes reconfiguring the target SFP based on a proposed modification and triggering, for one or more associated SFPs, an associated optimized set of actions.
