The present disclosure provides a biometrically controlled handheld medication dispensing device. The device includes a housing containing a cartridge carrier, designed with a specific connector to align with a medication cartridge. Notably, the device also includes a biometric authentication component that works in conjunction with an activator mechanism. When operated and upon user authentication, the activator mechanism causes the cartridge carrier to move the medication cartridge between a stored position and a dispensing position, where it can be compressed to safely and efficiently dispense medication to a user.

The present disclosure provides a keyed medication cartridge for use in a handheld oral medication dispensing device. The medication cartridge is designed with alignment features for connecting to the medication dispensing device. The cartridge includes a shell and medication vial therein. In use, alignment features on the dispensing device pass through the shell and lock against the vial, allowing a user to depress the shell and activate a pump assembly to force medication from the medication cartridge.

The present disclosure provides a medication dispensing system comprised of a medication dispensing device and a keyed and associated medication cartridge. The device includes a housing containing a cartridge carrier, designed with a specific connector to align with the medication cartridge. A rapid water-chilling system for a water dispenser that can quickly replenish cold water in the water dispenser when water has been dispensed or the water rises above a pre-set limit; so that when a user requests cold water, the user does not get ambient or warm water dispensed instead of the requested cold water or has to wait for the water to be chilled back to the requested temperature.

A replaceable cartridge filtration assembly for a water dispenser that has a replaceable filter cartridge that can easily installed or removed by a technician or a user of the water dispenser. The replaceable filter cartridge has a handle with locking extensions that engage notches formed in the cartridge housing that the replaceable filter cartridge fits into to lock the replaceable filter cartridge in place.

Described is an apparatus for preparing baby formula using a liquid concentrate solution. The apparatus includes a housing with a cavity for receiving and holding a container liquid concentrate solution. A motor is attached with the housing for forcing liquid concentrate solution from the container and into a mixing chamber. A pump and a water tank are also included. A spray head is attached with the housing. The spray head includes a plurality of spray jets in fluid connection with the pump for receiving water from the water tank and dispensing water from the spray jets into the mixing chamber. Finally, the mixing chamber receives the liquid concentrate solution and water, such that when the water and the liquid concentrate solution are introduced into the mixing chamber, the water and liquid concentrate solution mix into a baby formula and are dispensed from an outlet in the mixing chamber.

A variable temperature control assembly for a water dispenser, using a variable water temperature selector, that delivers water to the consumer at the temperature requested on the variable temperature selector by calculating the required ratio of hot water, cold water and ambient water needed to deliver water at the temperature requested.
