Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating time synchronized data between a client and a server. An example method generally includes synchronizing, by a client, a clock of the client with a clock source. The method also includes transmitting, from the client to a server, at an application level, information indicating the clock source, a cell identifier of a serving cell of the client, and accuracy of the clock source as a time value. The method further includes transmitting, from the client to the server, a message including data and a timestamp correlated to an event associated with the data based on the clock. The method also includes in response to the message, receiving, by the client from the server, generated data.

End-to-end time synchronization for cloud-based services

Methods, computer program products, and apparatuses for network slices based on master cell group (MCG) or secondary cell group (SCG) configurations are provided. An example method may include transmitting, to a base station, a registration request comprising first single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with a first network slice and second S-NSSAI associated with a second network slice. The method may include receiving, from the base station, a registration accept message associated with the first network slice and the second network slice. The first network slice may be associated with a first priority higher than a second priority associated with the second network slice. The first network slice may be served by an MCG and the second network slice may be served by an SCG. The method may include initiating a first inactivity timer for the MCG and a second inactivity timer for the SCG.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive during an active duration, an indication of an opportunity to request uplink (UL) transmission. The wireless device may identify an opportunity to request UL transmission based at least in part on the indication. In some cases, the active duration may be a discontinuous transmission (DTX) configuration. The wireless device may then transmit on the UL resources during the opportunity to request UL transmission.

Macro and micro discontinuous transmission

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for scheduling and bandwidth part (BWP) adaptation for extended reality (XR). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes obtaining an indication to change at least one of a minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay or a bandwidth for receiving a first transmission on a BWP; changing the at least one of the minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay to a new minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay or the bandwidth on the BWP to a new bandwidth; and receiving the first transmission on the BWP using the at least one of the new minimum control-channel-to-data-channel delay or the new bandwidth of the BWP.

Scheduling and bandwidth part adaptation techniques for extended reality

Disclosed are techniques for detecting a potential false base station (FBS). In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) or a location server obtains a first location estimate of the UE based on a cellular network-based positioning procedure involving one or more cells, obtains a second location estimate of the UE based on a non-cellular network-based positioning procedure, determines whether or not a difference between the first location estimate and the second location estimate is greater than a distance threshold, and performs a mitigation operation based on the difference being greater than the distance threshold.

Using positioning techniques to detect false base stations

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive a downlink (DL) reception indication during an active duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration. The DL reception indication may indicate the presence of a reception opportunity following an inactivity interval, as well as the length of the inactivity interval. The wireless device may refrain from DL monitoring during the inactivity interval. In some cases, the wireless device may enter a sleep mode during the inactivity interval and wake up to receive a subsequent transmission during the reception opportunity. In some examples, the wireless device may use the inactivity interval to communicate using a different radio access technology (RAT).

Macro and micro discontinuous reception

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), such as a UE associated with an extended reality (XR) device, may obtain frame data from one or more cameras associated with the UE. The UE may determine a path of a beam providing communication between the UE and a base station, determine a location of a base station in communication with the UE, or both, where the base station location may be relative to a location of the UE. The UE may identify, based on the frame data, the path of the beam, the base station location, the UE location, or a combination thereof, a physical blockage to the communication. The UE may perform beam management for the communication based on identifying the physical blockage, so as to mitigate the impact the physical blockage may have on the communications between the UE and the base station.

Techniques for identifying blockages between devices

In a wireless access network, a false base station (FBS) may imitate a legitimate base station by repeating the transmissions of the legitimate base station at a higher power level such that one or more user equipment (UEs) synchronize with the FBS instead of the legitimate base station. The present disclosure provides a UE that detects an FBS. The UE may estimate a time of arrival of different multipath components of a downlink signal corresponding to a physical cell identity. The UE may determine an existence of FBS based on a difference between the times of arrival of two of the different multipath components exceeding a threshold amount of time. The UE may perform a mitigation operation in response to determining the existence of the FBS.

Wireless channel power profile false base station detection

Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method of wireless communication includes receiving from an application server, at a network node of a wireless communication system, an indication of data to be delivered to at least one wireless device; determining a handling of the data; and transmitting at least one report relating to the handling of the data to the application server. Another method of wireless communication includes receiving from an application processor of a wireless device, at a modem of the wireless device, a request to receive at least one report on events monitored at the modem; and transmitting the at least one report to the application processor.
