A system and a method are disclosed for detecting a spurious signal in a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver. A detector of the GNSS receiver determines a first sequence of known bits or known-bit transitions of a space vehicle (SV) signal of a target SV. A second sequence is determined based on a coherent sum of the SV signal being tracked by the GNSS receiver. A first reliability sequence may be associated with the first sequence, and a second reliability sequence that may be associated with the second sequence. A correlation statistic of the first sequence is determined based on the second sequence. Whether the first SV signal is a spurious signal is determined based on a comparison of the correlation statistic to a threshold value.

Spurious space vehicle detection via exploiting knowledge of known bits

A set of antennas is selected from a plurality of antennas for transmitting data streams on a plurality of subcarriers based on channel state information of a communications channel between the plurality of antennas and a plurality of receive antennas at a client device, a number of the data streams to be transmitted, and a channel coherence time of the communications channel. A size of the set is equal to or greater than the number of data streams.

An apparatus and a method are provided. The apparatus includes a receiver configured to receive a signal over channels, a channel estimator configured to estimate the channels as first channel estimates; and a processor configured to compress the channel estimates to reduce buffer size. A hybrid platform for a software defined radio (SDR) includes a receive/transmit antenna, a radio frequency (RF) frontend, a baseband processor, and a SDR positioned along a signal path that couples the antenna, the RF frontend, and the baseband processor. The SDR includes a transmit processing chain, a receive processing chain, and a FPGA that includes control logic to reduce distortion caused by signal transmission within the SDR.

A method of synchronizing sensor data using timestamps and interpolation. The method includes receiving sequences of time-stamped data indicative of physical events from each of a plurality of sensors; generating an interpolation filter according to desired sampling times; and interpolating the sequences of time-stamped data with the generated filter to obtain sequences of data that are synchronized.

A computing device can determine a radio frequency (RF) bandwidth in which one or more frames are to be transmitted by the computing device. The RF bandwidth is within the operating transmission bandwidth of the computing device. A signal interference having an interference bandwidth can interfere with the transmission of the one or more frames. In response to detecting the signal interference, one or more frames can be transmitted within the operating transmission bandwidth and not within the interference bandwidth.

A method of reducing noise in a sequence of data by linear and non-linear estimation. The method includes receiving a noisy sequence of data indicative of a sequence of physical events; applying a non-linear technique to the noisy sequence to obtain an approximation of a noise-free sequence of data; subtracting the approximation from the noisy sequence to obtain an estimate of noise in the noisy sequence of data; applying a linear technique to the estimate of noise to obtain a filtered sequence; and adding the filtered sequence to the approximation of the noise-free sequence to obtain a reduced-noise sequence of data indicative of the sequence of physical events.

One embodiment of the present invention is directed to a method for compressing data generated by multiple data sources. The method includes steps of partitioning data generated by the multiple data sources into data partitions, the data included in each data partition containing inter-data-source redundancies and, for each data partition, compressing the data in the data partition to remove the inter-data-source redundancies.

A wireless node receives a beacon from a wireless access point. The beacon includes a wireless protocol time synchronization function (TSF) timestamp generated with reference to a global clock for a network. The wireless node synchronizes a counter according to the TSF timestamp. The wireless node receives a global timing offset (GTO) packet from the wireless access point and combines the GTO packet with a counter value to generate a global timestamp.
