A method and a system for customizing a handheld device being produced in manufacturing assembly. The method provides customization via configuration of the device by a server in a communication network. In response to a configuration predefined such via a customer purchase order, assigning, at the server, a group to the at least one handheld device, identifying, at the server, a configuration of components for download to the at least one handheld device, the configuration of components associated with the assigned group, and downloading, for installation at the handheld device, the configuration of components to the at least one handheld device of the assigned group.

Method and system for device configuration and customization during manufacturing process

A distributed license management system and method for managing software licenses are provided. The disturbed license management system comprises a repository for storing workstation information, a message interceptor for intercepting a message call coming from a workstation to a server, a workstation identification module for determining if a workstation identifier associated with the message call is defined in the repository, and a device verification module for allowing access to the server if a device identifier of a workstation is associated with the workstation identifier. The method comprises the steps of storing workstation information, intercepting a message call coming from a workstation to a server, determining if a workstation identifier associated with the message call is defined in stored workstation information, and allowing access to the server if a device identifier of the workstation is associated with the workstation identifier.

System and method of distributed license management

A method and system for a server-client communication in a network, is provided. The method includes, at a server: (1) requesting a client to establish an initial connection for discovery, including: generating a discovery beacon for requesting the initial connection, and transmitting the discovery beacon in the network; and (2) requesting the discovered client to establish a further connection for updates, including: generating at least one of an update beacon for requesting the further connection and an event for triggering the further connection, and transmitting the at least one of the update beacon and the event in the network.

A user credential management system and method for managing user credentials are provided. The user credential management system comprises an authentication module for authenticating a user login to a mobile device, and a message transforming module for associating a user credential to a message sent from the mobile device to a server. The method comprising the steps of authenticating a user login to a mobile device, locating a user credential associated with the user login, and associating the user credential to a message between the mobile device and a server.
