A tool assembly () for tensioning tower bolts () of a wind turbine tower is disclosed. The tool assembly () comprises a connecting arrangement () configured to connect the tool assembly () to a part of a wind turbine tower, and a tool holding part () arranged to hold a tool () for tensioning tower bolts (). The tool holding part () is attached to the connecting arrangement () in a rotatable manner, thereby allowing the tool () to be rotated between at least a first orientation and a second orientation. The connecting arrangement () may retain the tool assembly () relative to a tower wall by means of a magnet ().

Tool assembly for tensioning tower bolts of a wind turbine tower

A method for erecting a wind turbine tower is disclosed. A tower section () comprising a lower flange () and an upper flange (), and a plurality of stud bolts () and nuts () are provided. The tower section () is oriented in an upright position with the lower flange () below the upper flange (), and stud bolts () are positioned in bolt holes () in the lower flange () with nuts () arranged on an upper side of the lower flange (). The tower section () is lifted to a mounting position on top of another tower section (), and a flange combination is formed by aligning the bolt holes () formed in the lower flange () of the tower section () with bolt holes () formed in an upper flange () of the other tower section (), while advancing the stud bolts () through the bolt holes (). The invention further provides a socket tool () for screwing nuts () onto stud bolts () in a manner which positions the stud bolts () correctly with respect to a flange ().

Method for erecting a wind turbine tower using stud bolts

A method of erecting a wind turbine on a wind turbine site, the wind turbine comprising a turbine tower and a nacelle. The method comprises the following steps: providing a plurality of tower sections being arrangeable upon each other in a vertical orientation in a tower structure to form the turbine tower; providing at least one damper unit configured to dampen oscillations of the turbine tower; attaching a damper unit to one of the plurality of the tower sections on an outside thereof, and subsequently arranging the tower section in the tower structure, and arranging the nacelle on top of the tower structure while the damper unit is attached to a tower section in the tower structure.

Method of erecting a wind turbine

The present invention provides a method of erecting a wind turbine on a wind turbine site. The wind turbine comprises a turbine tower and a nacelle. The method comprises the following steps: providing a plurality of tower sections being arrangeable upon each other in a vertical orientation in a tower structure to form the turbine tower, providing at least two damper units configured to dampen oscillations of the turbine tower, attaching one of the at least two damper units to one of the plurality of the tower sections on an outside thereof, and subsequently arranging said tower section in the tower structure, attaching a subsequent one of the at least two damper units to another one of the plurality of the tower sections on an outside thereof, and subsequently arranging said tower section in the tower structure, while the previous one of the at least two damper units is still attached to the previous one of the plurality of tower sections.
