Provided is a blood collection unit suitable for accelerated blood coagulation of whole blood for subsequent autologous or allogeneic use. The blood collection unit includes an inside surface that an activation site accelerating coagulation by having a high roughness. Further provided is a blood collection unit including an inside surface that has an activation site having a high roughness area, and an interior of the blood collection unit has been prepared with a pressure of no more than 255 mBar, and preferably a pressure of no more than 130 mBar.

Procoagulant factors suitable for subsequent autologous use

A blood product (), a method for preparing the blood product, a blood product obtainable by the method and a blood product preparing container means. The blood product comprises components from whole blood, especially fibrin, thrombocytes and leukocytes. The blood product () comprises a first layer (), a second layer () and a third layer (). The second layer () is adjacent to the first layer () and the third layer (). A centrifuge comprising a rotor having a rotational axis, at least one receptacle for a blood sample container, controller means for controlling the rotational speed of the rotor, at least one optical transmitter for transmitting an optical signal, at least one optical receiver for registering the amplitude of the optical signal, where the optical signal is configured to pass through the blood sample container where the optical receiver detects the amplitude of the optical signal when it is directed through the blood sample container, where the amplitude of the optical signal reflects the translucency of the blood sample, where the controller means is configured to discontinue the rotational movement of the rotor when the amplitude of the optical signal over time has fulfilled a predefined pattern indicating that at least the fibrin compression phase of the blood sample is started.
