The prioritization method according to the present invention permits the selection of information providers independently of the selection and functioning manner of the requesting systems, for flexibilization. In a linear prioritization method according to the present invention, a list sorted by rising priority having information providers is sequentially polled, and the first information provider having a request command is selected, this request command is routed on, and the polling is ended. In an additional prioritization method according to the present invention, from a list that is not sorted, having information providers, the information provider having the maximum (minimum) request command is selected or the average request command of the requesters is ascertained. Preferably, the prioritization method according to the present invention is able to be executed using a computer system having a modular system construction.

Prioritization method of information transmitters, particularly for executing the coordinated drive train control of a motor vehicle

An electronic system for a vehicle includes first components for carrying out control tasks in response to operating sequences and second components that coordinate a cooperation of the components for carrying out control tasks. The first components carry out the control tasks by using operating functions and basis functions, wherein the system is constructed such that the basis functions are combined in a basis layer, and a system layer is superimposed on the basis functions, which includes at least two of the second components. At least one open interface of the system layer is provided for the operating functions, and the system layer links the basis functions to any and all operating functions, such that the operating functions can be interconnected and/or used in a modular fashion.

Electronic system for a vehicle and system layer for operational functions

The system of the invention for adjusting a transmission ratio in a transmission, which is built into a motor vehicle, includes at least two determining elements with the aid of which values are determined based on different determining modes. These values represent the driving behavior of the driver of the motor vehicle. According to the invention, administrator means are provided with the aid of which the determined values are called up by the determining elements. Then, at least one counter value is changed in counter means in dependence upon the called up values. Finally, the transmission ratio is set at least in dependence upon the outputted values.

A method and device are described for controlling an element of a drive train, which is influenceable by an operating device, in a vehicle having a control unit and a storage device, the element and/or the operating device being implementable in different variants. In this case, at least one identifier is stored in the storage device, the identifier representing the respective variant of the element and/or of the operating element which is contained in the vehicle. The element is controlled by the control unit as a function of the respective identifier in accordance with the respective variant. At the same time, different states of the respective variant of the element are selected, in particular through the operating means, an identifier being assigned for each possible state. The respective identifier contains control information, and the control unit analyzes the control information of the identifier and controls the respective variant of the element in accordance with the analysis of the control information.

Method for controlling an element of a drive train of a vehicle and control unit for performing said method

The invention relates to a method for determining a transmission ratio for an automatic transmission arranged in the drive train of a motor vehicle. Operating parameters of the vehicle and especially of equipment arranged in the drive train are made available in a control apparatus to determine the transmission ratio. The invention provides that the transmission ratio (i) of the transmission is determined in dependence upon an instantaneous vehicle load.

The invention is directed to a system for adjusting a transmission ratio in a transmission built into a motor vehicle. The system includes at least two transmission ratio criteria with which first transmission ratios are determined based on at least two different determining modes. The system also includes a first arrangement with the aid of which a second transmission ratio is selected in accordance with a pregiven prioritization from the determined first transmission ratios. The transmission ratio is then adjusted in dependence upon the selected second transmission ratio. In an advantageous configuration of the invention, a second arrangement is provided with which the second transmission ratio is modified in accordance with a pregiven strategy. The transmission ratio is then adjusted in dependence upon the modified second transmission ratio.

A system for adjusting a transmission ratio for a transmission built into a motor vehicle. Selection devices actuable by the driver of the vehicle are provided. With these selection devices, the driver can pregive pulses to change the transmission ratio. In a first component object, the pulse processing, pulses are detected whereupon in a second component object, the counter, count values are determined and stored in dependence upon valid pulses. In a third component object, the switch request, shift requests are determined in dependence upon count values and while considering pregivable peripheral conditions. The transmission ratio is adjusted in dependence upon the shift requests. With the defined interfaces of the objects, the exchangeability thereof is made possible whereby especially a reuse of the software is facilitated.

A system for adjusting a transmission ratio in a transmission built into a motor vehicle has at least two determination elements for determining values based on different determination modes with these values representing individual driving situations of the motor vehicle. An administrator calls up the values from the determination elements and stores the values. The administrator outputs individual ones of the values in response to a command whereupon the transmission ratio is adjusted at least in dependence upon the outputted ones of the values.

The invention proceeds from a motor vehicle having a drive train and the elements of the drive train are rotatable. The determination of a quantity, which represents the traction resistance, takes place in such a manner that an acceleration quantity is detected. This acceleration quantity represents the instantaneous acceleration of the vehicle. Furthermore, a reference quantity for the acceleration of the vehicle is detected and the quantity, which represents the traction resistance, is determined in dependence upon a comparison of the detected acceleration quantity with the determined reference quantity. The essence of the invention is that a rotation quantity is determined which represents the rotation torque of at least one element mounted in the drive train. The determination of the reference quantity takes place in accordance with the invention in dependence upon the determined rotation quantity. It is especially provided that the rotation quantities of individual elements, which are mounted in the drive train, are determined separately.
