A method for accelerating machine learning on a computing device is described. The method includes hosting a neural network in a first inference accelerator and a second inference accelerator. The neural network split between the first inference accelerator and the second inference accelerator. The method also includes routing intermediate inference request results directly between the first inference accelerator and the second inference accelerator. The method further includes generating a final inference request result from the intermediate inference request results.

Split network acceleration architecture

Aspects of the present disclosure provide wireless communication devices and methods configured to operate with multiple active connections. A user equipment establishes a first active connection associated with a first subscription. The user equipment also establishes a second active connection, simultaneous to the first active connection, associated with a second subscription. The user equipment provides modem information corresponding to connection qualities of the first active connection and second active connection, to an operating system of the user equipment. Furthermore, the user equipment mitigates contention between the first active connection and second active connection by degrading at least one of the first active connection or second active connection in accordance with a decision given by the operating system based on the modem information.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to protecting the contents of memory in an electronic device, and in particular to systems and methods for transferring data between memories of an electronic device in the presence of strong magnetic fields. In one embodiment, a method of protecting data in a memory in an electronic device includes storing data in a first memory in the electronic device; determining, via a magnetic sensor, a strength of an ambient magnetic field; comparing the strength of the ambient magnetic field to a threshold; transferring the data in the first memory to a second memory in the electronic device upon determining that the strength of the ambient magnetic field exceeds the threshold; and transferring the data from the second memory to the first memory upon determining that the strength of the ambient magnetic field no longer exceeds the threshold.

Dynamic memory protection

Aspects of the subject matter described in this disclosure can be implemented in a fall detection device and method. One or more motion sensors can access a user's acceleration data. The acceleration data can be segmented using a segmentation algorithm to identify a potential fall event. The segmentation algorithm can determine a cumulative sum of the acceleration data, where the cumulative sum is based on acceleration values being greater than or less than an acceleration threshold value, and a potential fall event can be identified where the cumulative sum is greater than a cumulative sum threshold value. Statistical features can be extracted from the segmented acceleration data and aggregated, and a determination can be made as to whether the potential fall event is a fall event based at least in part on the statistical features.

Devices and methods for fall detection based on phase segmentation

Methods and apparatuses for communicating in a wireless communication network are disclosed. For example, one method includes determining, by a first access point, a polling schedule for communicating with one or more wireless stations on a first wireless communication channel, the polling schedule for a second access point on a second wireless communication channel. The method further includes transmitting, by the first access point, on the first wireless communication channel, transmission information to the one or more wireless stations, wherein the transmission information comprises information for the one or more wireless stations to receive a transmission from the second access point on the second wireless communication channel. Methods and apparatus for multi-channel medium access control protocol

Multi-level cell (MLC) static random access memory (SRAM) (MLC SRAM) cells configured to perform multiplication operations are disclosed. In one aspect, an MLC SRAM cell includes SRAM bit cells, wherein data values stored in SRAM bit cells correspond to a multiple-bit value stored in the MLC SRAM cell that serves as first operand in multiplication operation. Voltage applied to read bit line is applied to each SRAM bit cell, wherein the voltage is an analog representation of a multiple-bit value that serves as a second operand in the multiplication operation. For each SRAM bit cell, if a particular binary data value is stored, a current correlating to the voltage of the read bit line is added to a current sum line. A magnitude of current on the current sum line is an analog representation of a multiple-bit product of the first operand multiplied by the second operand.

Access terminals are adapted to facilitate extended time periods for maintaining PPP sessions. According to one example, an access terminal can communicate with a network entity to establish a PPP session maintained by an extended time period. The extended time frame can be different (e.g., greater or less) than a default time period for maintaining the PPP session. For instance, the access terminal may establish a PPP session including a PPP connection. The access terminal may also send a persistence indicator to the network entity to cause setting the extended time period for maintaining the PPP session. The network entity may receive the persistence indicator and accordingly employ a differing time period (e.g., an extended time period) for maintaining the PPP session. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.

Devices and methods for facilitating extended time periods for maintaining PPP sessions

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for maintaining reachability at a user equipment (UE). In one aspect, the apparatuses and methods are configured to detect a change in a radio connection between the UE and a peer entity, wherein the change in the radio connection is associated with the UE entering an idle state, to communicate to the peer entity, in response to detecting the change in the radio condition, an indication that the UE is to enter the idle state and is reachable for a specified duration of time while in the idle state, and to enter the idle state after communicating the indication to the peer entity. In another aspect, the apparatuses and methods are configured to communicate to the peer entity an indication that the peer entity is not to attempt to reach the UE during the specified duration of time.

Method and apparatus for maintaining reachability of a user equipment in idle state

A method and apparatus for managing access to a wireless medium by one or more stations (STAs) in a wireless network. A device determines a first transmit opportunity for a first STA of the one or more STAs in the wireless network. The device enables the first STA to access the wireless medium for a duration of the first transmit opportunity by broadcasting a first grant message to the one or more STAs in the wireless network. The first grant message indicates allocation of the first transmit opportunity to the first STA. The device may selectively adjust the duration of the first transmit opportunity based at least in part on one or more properties of the wireless network.

Embodiments disclosed herein relate to carrier allocation and management in multi-carrier communication systems. In some embodiments, the number of carriers assigned to an access terminal on a forward link may be determined by an access network, and the number of carriers assigned to the access terminal on a reverse link may be based on a cooperative process between the access terminal and the access network. In other embodiments, the number of carriers assigned to the access terminal on the reverse link may also be determined by the access network, e.g., in relation to the scheduling information received from the access terminal.
