A system includes a multiphase flow meter and a removable adjustment device. The multiphase flow meter includes a venturi having a throughbore with a first diameter, and a throat having a second diameter at a center of the venturi. The first diameter is larger than the second diameter. The removable adjustment device is installed in the throat. The removable adjustment device includes a plurality of fins; a fin controller configured to actuate the plurality of fins between an open position and a closed position; and a cover surrounding the plurality of fins.

Adjustable venturi size device for multiphase flow meter (MPFM) used in oil and gas industry

A flowmeter includes an inlet for receiving a wellbore fluid therein, an outlet for discharging the wellbore fluid and a stationary interior wall extending between the inlet and the outlet. A plurality of movable walls within the stationary interior wall defines a flow path therethrough. Each movable wall defines a threaded section on a first lateral end and rotatably supports an adjustment beam on a second lateral end. The adjustment beams include threads engaged with the threaded section of an adjacent movable wall. An actuator is operably coupled to an adjustment beam to rotate the adjustment beam and thereby drive the second lateral sides of the movable walls along the threaded sections of adjacent movable walls and adjust a diameter of the flow path. A sensor is operable to detect a parameter indicative of the pressures of the wellbore fluid from which a flowrate of the wellbore fluid may be determined.

Adjustable venturi for multiphase flowmeter

A well system includes a well extending from a surface into a formation, a Y-tool provided at an end of a tubing string extending through the well, a concentric coiled tubing string extending through the tubing string and through a bypass line of the Y-tool, and a plurality of treatment solutions provided at the surface of the well. The plurality of treatment solutions includes at least one component of a dissolvable gel, a gel dissolving solution, and at least one component of a non-dissolvable gel. A system includes a well cellar, a wellhead and a colloidal silica gel. The well cellar includes a base and sidewalls extending from the base. The wellhead includes an aboveground region extending above the well cellar and a belowground region in the well cellar. The belowground region of the wellhead includes a wellhead component having an exterior surface. The colloidal silica gel occupies a volume extending from the base and sidewalls of the well cellar to the exterior surface of the wellhead component. The colloidal silica gel covers the exterior surface of the wellhead component.
